Tasty food! Fusion Chinese Indian Food from @copperchimneysg ! Established in 2012, Copper Chimney has its flagship shop at 100 Syed Alwi Road, at Little India Area. Besides the Little India restaurant, they also have an express outlet Asia Square. They have a wide range of menu choices! So many items till it took us a long while before we narrowed down on what to order. Butter chicken is my must order food whenever at Indian Food Places! This butter chicken ($18++) had enough portions for 2 pax! There were huge chunks of chicken meat. The butter chicken sauce was rich, creamy and with a slight smokey taste. Do get the garlic naan ($5++) or butter naan ($4.50++) to mop up all the sauces! Each portion of naan comes with 2 pieces. Also tried something new and got the Steamed Chicken Momo (5 pcs for $15.90++). Steamed momos are meat filled dumplings! Each momo has a generous portion of minced meat!! A side chilli sauce dip is also given for the momos! The ambience of this place was good, very modern and inviting. Food tasted great too! Do check this place out if you will like to eat some North Indian and Indian Chinese fusion food! The place is halal certified too!

Chargrilled Unagi Kabayaki Tender, flavoursome freshwater eel char-grilled to a delicate crisp and glazed with sansho kabayaki, offering a balance of smoky depth. The nori strips complement the eel beautifully, adding a slight textural contrast 》$32.80

Superstar Lobster A bold, indulgent creation featuring crispy prawn, spicy lobster and cheddar cheese, all fired up with peri-peri spice and topped with a satisfying layer of tempura crunch 》$15.80

Umami Soy Chirashi A second-generation favourite featuring fresh, diced sashimi coated in a savoury roasted soy marinade. The balance of fish to rice was spot on, while the ikura delivered little bursts of umami that took each bite to the next level 》$19.80

Seafood tendon ($18.90++) Comes with miso soup and a mini chawanmushi. Tempura includes prawns, salmon, scallop, squid, long bean, mushroom and white fish. The tempura were not too oily and didn have any smelly oil taste. The fish was still tender and not dry. The portion was just nice too. They have a bottle of tempura sauce on the table which u can add on if u like.

Great Tempura Find Was walking around to decide what to eat before stumbling on this tendon place. We were being served chawamushi first before getting our mains. The Tempura is not oily which make it healthy. Quite worth the money too

Octopus Galician-Style ‘A feira’ (S$28++) It’s hard to get grilled octopus right and @focpimpam achieves that. One of my favourite tapas at FOC is the Octopus Galician-Style ‘A feira’ (S$28++) which is a popular dish in Spain. The octopus has good bite without being too chewy. The octopus is doused in oil, sprinkled with pimentón and rests atop a fluffy bed of crushed potatoes. It’s too easy to wipe this dish clean.

Iberico Pork Secreto This iberico pork was cooked to perfection. Each slice was juicy and tender, and flavoured just lightly enough so that we could taste the sweetness of the pork itself. It was paired with a small portion of mash and red peppers. Such a great set lunch - we will be back!

Beef Cheeks Such a great main on their set lunch menu. The beef was so tender and soft, and the sauce was rich and flavourful. Probably one of the best beef cheeks I’ve had in Singapore at a wallet-friendly price.

Pasta, Iberico pork, cauliflower The portion was on the smaller side but food tasted not bad! Not a lot of mains options.

Iberico Secreto ($26+ U.P.), Barramundi ($26+ U.P.), Roasted Cauliflower ($15+), Pita & Hummus ($12+, Not Pictured) Moosehead has been on my wish list to check out with girlfriends for a long time, a Saturday evening in 2022 was finally the right time. While our mains of barramundi and iberico secreto came in “dainty” portions fit for ladies, they were well handled and packed coordinating flavours with their condiments. Our sides of cauliflower and pita with hummus then kept us satiated. This is a place I’d return to for a causal alfresco sort of dining ambience with good food.

Good flavours Barramundi was ok with the sweet tomatoes but the fish was not the most fresh. only worth with burpple 1f1!

For Unassumingly Good Salted Caramel Cheesecake No frosting. No decorations. Yes, it certainly looks plain but this unassuming slice of Salted Caramel Cheesecake ($50 for a 6-inch cake, $8 a slice) from Bakerzin doesn't need extras to blow you away. It's got a super rich sea salt caramel layer mixed with just the right amount of Valrhona dark chocolate for that slight tinge of bitterness. Buttered on top of a smooth, creamy cheesecake that sits on a crumbly biscuit base, this sits right on that fine line between sweet and tangy — what we imagine the love child of a New York cheesecake and a bottle of salted caramel spread would taste like! *Whole cakes have to be ordered two days in advance Photo by Burppler My Food Story

Bakerzin's cake of the month, The Jade SGD 8.50++. A dense and melt in your mouth cheese cake set on a thin layer of crushed biscuits and topped with a layer of pandan infused coconut white chocolate fudge. . Top layer is fragrant and reminds me a little of salted caramel. Sugar level is rational. . This is good to be nibbled on for an hour or two over some tea with friends but not recommended for an after the meal dessert as it is on the heavier side.

Overcooked Eggs & No Distribution System What bugged me most was the inconsistent service - showing preferential treatment to what I assume are regulars, & a really bad bad attitude to others. There isn't a proper distribution system for the eggs either - when I was told to wait for my eggs, I did, but then I noticed portions being taken away by other customers that ordered after me. Oh, & as you can see, the eggs yolks are pretty cooked (I prefer mine actually runny). This made for an unpleasant breakfast to start the weekend with. Not keen to return.

Good Coffee, Ordinary Kaya Toast with Soft Bread I don't recall having such an unpleasant experience the last time I was here, but that was 7 years ago so perhaps things have changed. Coffee is good; Kaya Toast is ordinary with the bread really soft (I prefer mine toasty & crispy) so IMHO it's not worth trying. (Continued in next review)

Traditional Breakfast Set Traditional charcoal-grilled kaya butter toast set that comes with soft-boiled eggs and Nanyang coffee in a nostalgic and old-school coffee shop. I love the atmosphere here where it feels like I'm being teleported back to the 1980s with marble tables and a very old-school setting that is pretty hard to find these days. Toasts were the fluffy (not crispy) type with butter and not too sweet kaya. The eggs were huge and done to perfection. The service is a little slow but understandable with a very old uncle managing everything on his own. Overall it’s worth the experience if you are nearby and don’t mind the long wait 》$5.20 (incl Milo)

Oven Baked! Not Fried Wings! Simple love this non fried wings. Eat with less guilt and so good. Crispy skin with tender meat. Smelling great with the herbs coating the skin. (Pricing: either $7.90/$8.90 for 3 or 4 pieces. Oops I forgot!)

[Limited] Sarawak Laksa ($16.90 nett). It's only available on some Sundays, and there are limited portions per day, so call first to specifically reserve a bowl before heading down. 🔸 I liked this very much. It's more subtle and has a smoother rounder taste. The laksa paste consists of sambal belachan, tamarind, lemongrass, herbs and spices, and coconut milk, mostly airflown from Sarawak itself. And this explains why it is only available on certain Sundays. Hope you'll enjoy this aromatic bowl of Sarawak laksa as much as we did. 🔸 [Invited Tasting]

Chilli Crab Pasta ($34.90 nett). This is my double shiok pasta - first shiok is the generous amount of crab meat mixed with the pasta and the large crab claw atop the pasta; the second shiok being the super, super, spicy chilli crab gravy. Iced Mint Mocha Iced Mint Mocha at Tolido's Espresso Nook is a refreshing masterpiece! The perfect balance of rich espresso, velvety milk, and invigorating mint flavours creates a delightful summer treat. Visually stunning, with mint leaves and chocolate powder, making it Instagram-worthy.

Pumpkin spice latte Seriously can't taste any pumpkin spice at all. There's a little bit of nutmeg on top. They took our feedback and made us another cup. Very nice but honestly both taste exactly the same lol no pumpkin spice

Brownie Blackout brownies are all good, this one is abit too sticky-dense and outside isn't the most crispy, so not top tier. But still enjoyable

The Refinery🍝 Went to The Refinery for dinner with colleagues 2 weeks ago and had the Mentaiko Aburi Pasta ($24) along with other sharing items such as Cauliflower Fritters ($10), Refinery Wings ($12), Chicken Karaage ($13), Mentaiko Fries ($12)😇 The Mentaiko pasta was good but got a little gelat after awhile. The other sharing items were delicious😍 Overall ratings 9/10 as the ambience was good, staff were helpful and food was delicious!💯 Would definitely visit again!!

Asia Fusion Came here for lunch. Ordered the Gyu Don v2.0 ($16), Yummy Tiger Prawn Pasta ($20) and Sweet Potato Caramel Latte ($6). Gyu Don v2.0: Thinly Sliced USA Beef Shortplate cooked in Aromatic Reduction & Caramelized Onions, Tempura Onions, Japanese Pearl Rice, Onsen Lava Egg. Beef slices were well marinated and tender. Tempura onion on the other hand was disappointing. Soft and unseasoned. Yummy Tiger Prawn Pasta: Linguine, Creamy Tom Yum Sauce, Tiger Prawns, Cherry Tomatoes, Kaffir Lime. The tomyum flavour was not bad. The prawns however do seem a little small and somehow I feel that using fresh prawns would be better for this dish. The sweet potato caramel latte was excellent. Milky, creamy, sweet and delicious. Highly recommend getting this drink. Service was not bad. Servers were attentive enough to top up our water.
