Tipo Pasta Bar🍝 Went to Tipo Pasta Bar last week and ordered their Linguine (Chilli Garlic) and built my own pasta - Pink Sauce, Garlic Chips, Smoked Chicken, Swiss Brown Mushrooms ($17.90 before GST and Svc Charge)!😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Pasta was not bad but nothing too fancy🥹 Flavour of the pasta itself mentions chilli garlic too but it dosen't taste like it (staff did mention that the flavour is very mild tho haha) Would visit again only if I am craving for pasta😅

Pasta! Visited Tipo Pasta Bar for the first time! Realised that their pasta menu is actually very similar to Tipo Strada! Both outlets have the build your own pasta menu! The only slight differences for the pasta menu is the fixed bowl where their selections are slightly different! Here is what I tried this time round: -Absolute Alfredo for Gemelli (parsley pasta) [$17.90++]: Love their creamy white sauce! This came with swiss brown mushrooms and chicken (which was more like steamed chicken to me than "smoked chicken") -Build your own pasta: Linguine Chilli Garlic Pasta + Aglio Olio + White Clams [$14.4++]: Free toppings were included and we added ALL and it was a WRONG choice lol! The toppings added were chilli flakes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic chips and birds eye chilli. The addition of the birds eye chilli and chilli flakes plus it was a chilli garlic pasta SUPER FIERY! I couldn't stomach more than 3 scoops of it whoops! Lesson learnt, just stick to adding garlic chips only the next time!

Wildseed Cafe @ 1 flower hill Nestled amid lush greenery, @wildseedsg Wildseed Café’s 1-Flowerhill location offers a peaceful al fresco setting that’s perfect for unwinding. The natural surroundings add a refreshing escape, setting the scene for a relaxing afternoon high tea. The high tea set itself was a nice balance of local flavors and sweet indulgences. For savory bites, the Mushroom Tartlet was delightfully earthy, the Satay Chicken Croissant had a light touch of spice, and the Chili Crab Kueh Pie Tee added an adventurous flair with its classic Singaporean flavors. As for the sweets, each item brought its own unique character. The White Chocolate Crémeux paired beautifully with a tart raspberry compote, while the Buttery Scone had an irresistible crumb, enhanced by zesty lemon curd and airy honey-whipped butter. The Blueberry Almond Tart featured creamy mascarpone, and the Peach & Lychee Vanilla Cake felt light and summery. The Salted Caramel Macaron added a sweet-salty crunch, but my favorite of the day had to be the Strawberry Shortcake! Its layers were light, fruity, and just the right amount of sweet to leave a lasting impression. All in all, Wildseed Café’s high tea set is a lovely treat if you’re looking for a relaxing escape with nature-inspired vibes and a unique mix of flavors. Whether you’re in for a chat with friends or a quiet solo afternoon, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Duck Confit ($32) Duck confit was tasty but a little bit dry and tough. I liked the potato lyonnaise for the basil flavour but could do with a bit more salt. Overall, it felt a bit lacking for something so pricey - it’s tasty but there’s no “wow” factor. I might come back for pastries/breakfast because the location is very pretty (especially the outdoor space) but I’d be hesitant to have a meal here

Muss-try for shell lovers Seafood pasta comprising of spaghettini doused in some garlicky and really seafoody broth. As pictured, the portion for the mussels was generous. Perfect for seafood lovers

Elegant Strokes Of Minimalism This was a beautifully minimalistic lounge, underscored by tasteful strokes of vintage romanticism. In the same vein, their cocktails were minimalistic in ingredients in a bid to avoid convoluted flavours — the poetically named 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘁 静江($25) was a striking example of this idealism. - Umeshu and rum melded elegantly into a lightly sweet and fruity concoction. Then granny smith apple bled, ever so slightly, into the mixture and imbuing an understatedly sour vibrancy which was ideally complementary of the spirit base. Ebi & Corn Sando ($22++) H O S T E D This new bar speaks in a quieter, more modulated tone than its sister bar - Jigger & Pony. She exudes a low-key yet unmissable worldly confidence. In terms of aesthetics, she oozes eyeball-grabbing mid-century Western-meets-Japanese style, mixing handpicked vintage pieces with admirable nonchalance. Knowing our moods, Live Twice is versatile, offering different seating arrangements to suit. Her cocktails, crafted in the Japanese spirit of shokunin by Group Beverage Director @bartenderaki and female Head Bartender @woofyinying are meant to satisfy the two sides we are known to have: the life we live for ourselves, and the one for our dreams. So there’s a list of the classics (but done with a twist) and another featuring concoctions inspired by fantasy and here’s a fascinating fact, named after geishas. Although the cocktails are the stars at Live Twice, the compact food menu boasts gems like Wasabi Cheese Terrine (this is fantastic with the “Vesper” cocktail it seems) and Tuna Katsu ($22++). My number one pick though has to be the extremely tasty Ebi & Corn Sando ($22++) shown above. The thick prawn and corn cutlet was outrageously sweet, juicy and crunchy. Definitely the munchie to get when you’re feeling peckish.

Melon 24++ U don't get what you don't ask for, I asked and they so kindly obliged >< Charentais melon balls were super sweet from the marination, but the texture was thus diff from fresh melons too. Served w peach gum and melon juice(which wasn't too strong) By the side there's milk ice cream made by creamier specially for them, according to their recipe and oh god it was special. Somehow very smooth, and milkier than normal. This comes w pumpkin seed oil which was quite intense Overall pretty good, but idk if I would pay this normal price for it either

Burnt cheesecake 19++ It's funny how they don't call themselves basque when they're literally using idiazabal cheese. It's pretty decent, I don't like the slightly smoky edge from idiazabal cos I feel it doesn't mesh particularly well but maybe it's just me if this is meant to be authentic. Anyway it's not particularly strong so not a big deal. However it's a little bit dry at the side But way too ex tho, this is abit ridiculously prized

Scarmoza 30++ Served w pineapple compote. Honestly it's basically blitzed pineapple but it works well The scarmoza was rlly lovely. It's very meaty almost, esp when served beside the pineapple compote. There's crisp on the surface, it's got the most pleasant soft chew and sufficient bite, and smoky too. The only problem is the price. Otherwise I have no reservations about branding it a must try. Still tho, I'm really glad I didn't have to share this, this was very satisfying to chew on 3 massive chunks of scarmoza

Hot hojicha latte - Sweet and pleasant aroma with a nutty, toasty flavour that ended with chocolatey notes! - More popular for their coffees here but this took me by surprise and @madyums preferred this to her strong black too 😛 [8.5/10]

Maple scone - Coated with maple glaze that gave a little crisp to the top without being too sugary 🍁 - Came with light cream, and red miso butter that added a balanced savouriness to the sweet dessert!! - Buttery, crumbly and fluffy soft yet not dry 😋 [8/10]

Genmaicha Latte ($7.50) I didn't managed to go even though my previous company was nearby. I felt that I don't have any chance to try their hojicha latte :") anymore. So a lot of people order this with adding coffee shot. But I felt that it got milky but strong roasted nutty taste.

Golden Cassia ($18) ☕️ Family of oolong tea from Anxi, Fujian. This exquisite tea is said to carry the delicate aroma of osmanthus, infusing it with a golden-yellow hue as it brews. Sipping on this tea brew, you'll be greeted with a deep, warm, and floral fragrance that's truly inviting. The taste is gentle yet full of character, making it a pleasant tea experience overall. Chapter 7 Cookies ($5) To satisfy my sweet tooth, I ordered a plate of Chapter 7 Cookies ($5), featuring seven cookies infused with different teas, nuts, and seeds. The assortment included Rose Tea, Jasmine Tea, Japanese Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Almond, Cashew Nut, and Sesame. The cookies were delightfully crisp and easy to bite into, and each had its own unique flavour. They simply melted in the mouth, making them the perfect complement to the tea.

High tea premium I think the high tea experience is average because I have mixed feelings about the foods . I enjoyed the baked goods such as the quiches , the scones,the lemon tarts and the fragrant teas. But I find the sweets offerings such as the cheese cakes,macaroons and cakes average. The view is pretty scenic. This high tea seems to have its fans and this is my first high tea experience so I might be wrong but I think it's abit meh.

The most memorable dish for me will be the Salmon Fillet prepared to perfection and served with chorizo, fennel and apple. The firm and buttery-rich texture also go perfectly with “Brewdog Punk IPA” 5.4%. Other dishes include Rock Oyster adorned in beetroot dashi, wasabi pear & oscietre caviar, as well as King Scallop with grapefruit, caramelised cauliflower, and tapioca.
