We ordered all the 3 rice bowls that was in their lunch set which comes with a drink and dessert- Fatty Porky, Chong Qing Mala Chicken and Ma Po Tofu. The mala chicken had a really addictive mala coating and the fatty porky was really soft and easy to tear apart! The bowls also came with a generous portion of rice.
We also got crispy squid ($9) which came with a flavourful Sichuan BBQ dip. Liked that the batter was crisp!
A good starter to whip up the appetite. Also addictive with that cilantro calamansi mayonnaise dip!
Pasta tossed with miso butter, you should definitely get this if you love mushrooms. There was something about the tomatoes too - very sweet and fresh!
The fresh roasted black grouper came in a creamy mussel vichyssoise sauce along with picked shimeiji mushrooms. It’s best to mix the sauce together with the garam masala to reach its full potential. Indeed a different but still flavourful dish!
You can see that nori cream tagliatelle and enoki peeking out underneath that beautifully crisp seabass. This is the one to get if you are looking for something slightly heavier!
This was one of my favourite dishes. That Cantonese styled broth was reminiscent of the home cooked fish dishes that I was accustomed to. I couldn’t help slurping up the broth (which is something I don’t do at home). The fish was also delightfully soft and tender.
The addition of the clams and the addictive chewy sweet potato noodles also gave this a really good modern twist. I’ll definitely head back for this!
After hearing my colleague rave about this place, I was really curious to check out this hidden gem and was not disappointed. The service was really fantastic and attentive which made our experience a really memorable one.
Coming back to the food - plump, fresh mussels and that lip smacking curry, we could not stop wiping up the entire bowl with the warm mantous. One mantou is definitely not enough!
We definitely worked up an appetite queuing for this! That power packed sambal, soft fragrant coconut rice and that crispy chicken leg... totally yums!
1 for 1 double scoop waffles with Burpple Beyond! Pistachio and Gula Melaka are the stand outs here and they are really generous with the scoops too. Waffles were slightly too crispy though but it’s still good overall.
You might not think much of this cauliflower dish when you glance at the menu but oh boy, this was our favourite of the lot! The combination of roasted cauliflower, unagi and mac&cheese went really well together! Definitely a dish to order when you want to feel less sinful 😬
The mentaiko isn’t overpoweringly gelat and I like the crunchy tempura bits hidden in the pasta. But of course the plump juicy scallops were the highlight of this dish!
They’re really generous with that sautéed mixed mushrooms. Toss well together with that truffle oil, garlic and butter and you’ll get the ultimate comfort dish.
