Their house specialty! Tomato base topped with prawns, salami, capsicum as well as mushrooms and cheese on thin crust pizza. Alcohol is poured on the pizza and lighted right before you. Very flowery concept (people love to set their food on fire nowadays) and photogenic as well. Taste wise was pretty decent. No complaints! 😊😊😊
BBQ glazed the same way as the mini beef burgers. Wished they did it another way though so they are more distinguished individually. More improvements on the burgers as the patty was also quite dry on this one 🙄🤔🙄🤔
Bite size, good for sharing, saves all the mess cutting up and disintegrating a regular burger. The beef patties was a bit dry on this one and it would have been better if the cheese was melted!
Mains starts from $14.80 onwards, we had the seafood aglio olio ($16.80) -- fresh prawns were used instead of frozen prawns but the downside was, we had to peel the shells off ourselves 😹😹 and pan-seared salmon ($20.80) -- garnished with tobiko and a generous amount of greens. The meat was a tad bit hard overall but the flavor was pretty good.
They have an extensive menu starting from soup & salad (price ranging from $5.80-$7.80) to finger food such as spam fries ($8.80), truffle fries ($9.80) and battered mushrooms ($6.80) etc. My personal fave has gotta be the battered mushrooms, the seasoning was light and the flour wasn't too thick and neither was it oily. They were very generous in the amount of truffle oil used in the fries as well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Atmosphere Bistro & Bar (East Coast) has recently opened up a sister company at Alexandra Central -- Atmosphere Cafe & Bistro. As the name suggests, they pay a lot of attention to the atmosphere they are providing their patrons. Their primary outlet situated at East Coast boasts a relaxing seaside dining experience. The latter which is located in a mall goes in the direction of European fine dining with monochrome marbled floor tiles, marbled tables, chandeliers as well as maroon red cushioned seats.
Fishball noodle is a staple local food in Singapore and you can find them in almost every coffeeshop/market/foodcourt. Think fishball noodles and the first place that comes into mind is - Song Kee but I'm gonna write about a fairly new startup.
Firstly let me start with a story. When I was young, my grandma used to made fishballs for the whole family to eat. As a curious young girl, I would stand beside my grandma for hours looking at her preparing the fishmeat and helping her roll them into fishballs. Recalling back, there was once an incident where the mischievous me rolled the fishball into the size of a tennis ball and threw it into the boiling water. When my grandma realise it. She chided me and said that the fishball would not be cook thoroughly. As the years flash by, my grandma no longer made fishball for us due to health reason and I have since been on a hunt to find back the familiar taste of fishball done by my grandma.
The hunt for handmade traditional fishball brought me to come across this store called fishball story. Fishball Story may not have a long standing history compared to most of the local food feature in #hawkerpedia but it is definitely worth the mention.
It started way back when Douglas Ng's (the young & passionate owner) grandmother gave a twist to an old Teochew master's fishball recipe which eventually led to the founding of Fishball Story today.
So what's so special about their fishball noodles? It's handmade solely with fish - no flour is used. I actually thought the fishball would made some good ping pong balls. Furthermore, the noodles were cooked to al dente. And, staying true to our Singaporean blood, how can we forget about the chilli used for the noodle? I'm not a good judge when it comes to flavors in chili but this is really good, just the right amount of spice and taste.
Overall, the fishball noodle were fantastic and I would definitely come back again for another visit. Who could resist a good bowl of fishball noodle right? #hawkerpedia
Lucky me! Manage to try the famous Gordan Ramsay restaurant without having to queue! There were a lot of mix reviews thus my expectations wasn't THAT high when I tried it. I had the roasted black cod, the lemon sauce and red wine went very well together - sweet, zesty and fragrant at the same time. He had his own surf and turf of black angus sirloin steak and half grilled lobster (green peppercorn sauce). The lobster paled in comparison to the juicy and tender beef. The Mac and cheese was good as well.
They've got the best pizza crust, crispy and fluffy/doughy at the same time. The thickness is just right I can finish 3/4 of one pizza without feeling too full 🙊🙊 tried the Funghi misti (fontina, taleggio & thyme) and Bacon, salame (fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella). Both recommended by the staff and they were really really good. I don't think I'll ever eat pizza in any random place anymore after this.
Old school flavors from old school bakeries. You just can't get the same flavors from breadtalk or any other not so traditional bakeries. 6 for $8.50 much cheaper than breadtalk as well!
It's the durian season again!!!! Durian rainbow ice cream (D24), durian cream puff (sold in pairs), durian crepe (D24), MSW Power puff and MSW horn for my own tea sesh back at home!! Nutella toasts comes with ferror rocher and vanilla ice cream. Had a chocolate lava cake with "famous Amos" ice cream. Been going there very frequently because I'm super in love with their ice cream and I want to try all the flavors available. Creamy and full of flavor. My fave has gotta be matcha, ferror and biscotti ❤️❤️
