The Christmas edition of shibuya toast came with candy canes, whipped cream, sliced kiwis, blueberries paired with two scoops of after eight ice cream. The toast lacked in flavor and fragrance and the ice cream was just sweet, super sweet. I tried the rocher (it has bits of Nutella and some nuts?) and PBJ, the flavor was weak and everything was just creamy and sweet.
HogV2 (Pulled Pork, Purple Apple Slaw, Yellow Onions with BBQ sauce) with cheese bagel and Rodeo (Roasted Beef Slices, Sweet Onion Relish, Relish, Melted Cheese, Rocket Leaves) with multigrain bagels. I've not tried enough bagels in my life to know what is the best but these are clearly good enough for me.
"Spread it like peanut butter jelly, do it like I owe you some money..." πΆπΆπΆ Generous slabs of PBJ on cinnamon raisin bagels. Mmmm, what took me so long to find you guys???
Refreshing, zesty and smooth lemon curd encased in a tart base (which I found a tad too thick and hard -- I like it more crumbly, personal preference) atop a layer of olive oil sponge and finished with torched sweet meringue and lemon peel.
My first impression was "what the shit, did I just pay $12 to eat nothing?!?!" Just like the decorative silverish chocolate feather sitting atop the dainty white dome -- the cheese mousse was super light and airy with a citron jelly centre, and a butter sable base. The flavor and texture of the entire cake was skillfully and delightfully well balanced ππ»ππ»ππ» just shut up and take all my money ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Layers of Hazelnut Ganache, Coffee Sponge and Chocolate Ganache. A tad more on the sweeter side but it was still enjoyable.
Dark Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Meringue and Chocolate Hazelnut Praline Crunch encased in a high gloss dome. Good texture -- the mousse was very smooth and light accompanied with a little crunch, good mix of rich dark chocolate and sweet meringue. Definitely hit all the right notes of a g spot for chocolate enthusiasts like me.
Egglets topped with chocolate sauce, crushed nuts and fruit loops (you can choose your two toppings which also included fresh fruits such as kiwi, mango, blueberries etc) with soft serve (vanilla) drizzled with your choice of sauce, mine was salted caramel (they also have black sesame, cookie butter etc). Photogenic but no wow factor, I would rather have better than your BF churros next door or walk a couple more steps to llaollao. That being said, it doesn't taste bad -- I finished everything ππ
Someone plzzzz tell me I'm not the last one to find out about truffle ramen?!?!!!!! Chanced upon this ramen stall 4 da 1st time and I'm in luvvvvv. Was on my way to have some photogenic looking hvala when I chanced upon it -- saw truffle ramen and I knew that I HAVE TO HAVE IT. So yup, the truffle ramen is served dry and with sliced truffle from Italy ($16.90), I added an ajitama (egg @ $2), the truffle smell and taste was very distinct, noodles was firm and very qq πππ only down point was that it can get very dry so if they've like soup by the side, it'll be good!!! The flaming hot tonkotsu ramen with additional charshu ($14.9+$4) was spicy but i guess it overpowers the original broth so unless you really like your food spicy, go for their signature ramen (the next table was singing praises for it ππππ) The chicken gyoza ($5.90) fell short though, still like those from gyoza-ya best πππ OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT, THE CHARSHU IS DAMN GOOD, try it and you will know what I mean. Three hours post dinner and I haven't had another cup of green tea, guess they really live up to what they say about being MSG free.
Vanilla mousse, chocolate sponge cake, raspberry in raspberry sauce and of course chocolate ganache. Very well balanced flavors, a very de-light-ful dessert.
Couldn't miss a 1-for-1 when it comes to food so I gave their beef cheeks tagliatelle and capellini crab meat a go and both were surprisingly tasty even though they look very boring. Very generous with their ingredients as well, good place to go during lunch time or during a day out with your friends
Cassis bombe, elderflower yoghurt foam, plum liquor, bamboo shoot. Good for people who wants to have dessert but not so much of a sweet tooth ππ
