Double Scoop Waffle w/ Earl Grey & Belgian Chocolate [RM17.00]
✨: One can never go wrong with ice cream and waffles. Unlike a certain popularised ice cream parlour, the waffles at Fat Baby put up a strong front against melting ice cream. Instead of turning soggy, the warm, fluffy waffle melds with the cool, velvety ice cream to create what I call ultimate happiness :D The earl grey was fragrant while the Belgian chocolate was just the right amount of decadent.
💬: Fat Baby only opens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Someone, please explain this business model to me AHAHHA
I love you, Fat Baby. At this rate, I’ll soon become one.

Regular Bowl [RM15.90]
💬: All I really have to say is I hate falafel. There's this weird aftertaste that I can't put my finger on. Make me change my mind. You can't. Just look at it 💩
That's all folks please read my first Burnt post and my Salad Atelier post too for my stand on healthy food joints. Thx hav a gr8 day 🤠

Wild Mushroom Fried Rice [RM11.90]
✨: My new found love at Mama Kim (sorry Sauna Mee). Every mouthful is a flavour bomb of egg, soy sauce and naturally sweet veggies. I especially enjoy the stringy enoki mushrooms that soak up all the dish’s flavour + provide a nice chew to the dish.
Try it for yourself and you’ll know what I mean! It isn’t like any regular fried rice, that I can guarantee.
Perhaps this can mark the start of a vege series here LOL

Veggie Burger [RM19.50]
✨: To my surprise, Nando’s vege option turned out great! The patty composed of black beans, carrots, and other greens, and made for a nice pairing with the tangy peri-peri sauce.
💬: Though the menu description mentioned a yogurt sauce, I barely tasted or took notice of any. I reckon as well that the burger would be fine (or even better) without the top bun. All it added was additional dryness to my bites.
Would happily order this again if the situation calls for a vegetarian meal!

Egg Mayo Croissant Sandwich; Burnt Cheesecake; Hojicha Latte; Lemon Curd Financier.
✨: NEA’s minimalistic white and forest green interior makes for a great photo as well as a relaxing environment to be in. I thoroughly enjoyed all the food I had. The croissant was flakey and crisp, as a good one should be. I especially liked that the burnt cheesecake was on the saltier side (it would be perfect if there was more of a textural difference between the crust and the inner part of the cake).
💬: In terms of the drinks, I was thrilled at Niko Neko matcha being offered. However, I feel there is room for improvement as there was an obvious separation between the hojicha and the milk. Prices here can get a little steep too (sorry forgot the pricing so it isn't listed 😅).
Definitely want to be back :)

Dry Duck Noodles
✨: As a whole, I enjoyed the dish. The herbal soup, I heard, is an acquired taste. A giant duck leg which was fall-apart tender accompanied my bowl of noodles.
💬: My understanding is that the herbs and the duck make the dish very ‘windy’/inflammatory (很惹风) so it’s best to not have it too regularly. Also, that it isn’t half as good as it used to be 🤣
Though I did enjoy this meal, I won’t find myself craving for it.

Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken [RM10.40]
✨: The best part of the plate is the fried chicken-- crisp and flavourful with tender and juicy insides. And how could I not mention the fried bits piled on top (though they didn’t give me much this time :c). Some may dislike the sweet sambal, but I am all for it.
Would definitely bring a first-timer to nasi lemak here!

18++ [RM18++ 🤣]
✨: Upon entry, the greenery filled space greeted me, exuding a sense of calm and serenity. The petite and intricate ice cream cakes lining the clear display attested to the establishment's high level of dessert craftsmanship.
💬: This cake amazed looks-wise more than it did taste-wise (and price-wise HAHAH). It tasted just like any other chocolate and nut flavoured dessert. Was expecting a stronger hit of alcohol, but was sadly let down. Overall, not bad at all, but not memorable.
Still love the place and would 10/10 recommend for the comfortable environment. Would love to re-visit and give their other offerings a shot.
📷 In frame: Serunding Fries
✨: It was love at first bite when I first got to try these as a side to my Geisha burger a few months back. The tangy lime sauce and the fragrant, toasty serunding bits (dried meat floss) made for a combination I never knew I needed. The fries, especially when warm, were crisp on the outside and perfectly mushy(? can't think of a better adjective) on the inside.
Not sure if it's a permanent menu item so if it's gone I'll be a sad bean HAHAH

Ren Matcha Fresh Milk Latte [RM16]; Hojicha Soy Milk Latte [RM10]
✨: The matcha and hojicha were the best I've had in Malaysia thus far. Indeed, the matcha was a vibrant green and jam-packed with umami, both signs of the best quality matcha. Loved the minimalist interior and the staff who were so helpful and friendly.
💬: The quaint space doesn't fit many, so there is a risk of not having anywhere to sit. Also wouldn't recommend if you don't have a particular appreciation for green tea (price is pretty steep 😆)
Will definitely be back to try more menu items as well as shoot my shot at seeing Niko the cat (since I missed him this time!)
