I tend to be skeptical about these "themed" restaurants, but I was quite impressed by their quality of food.

I ordered this curry rice ($18 nett), and the sauce was thick and rich with beef and vegetable broth. I chose pork and scallop as a topping and they are both nicely flavored. My husband ordered a hamburger, and the beef patty was also quite good quality.

I'm a Japanese so I'm quite critical about Japanese food too, but I would say this surpassed my expectation. I'll come back again!

Healthy tasty brunch at Atlas Coffee House. I love they serve creative items like this (a bowl of quinoa with pulled chicken, tomato chutney, sautéed zucchini and pumpkin, and spinach leaves, $18) and salmon soba. Their espresso drinks were also great! I'll come back this place again.

Someone commented about this high tea from Brunches, so I tried today. It was only $32++ for two persons serve coming with a pot of tea. Each item is not like super fancy but they are tasty and we pleasantly enjoyed our meal! **they serve only 10 orders of high tea daily. Go there early enough to get one

This place used to serve great coffee. It was one of my favorite places to get a cup of cappuccino, but I noticed recently the quality dropped. This is today's cappuccino. Where the silky milk foam went? They don't have any pride for a great brewed coffee anymore.

I'm very happy One Man Coffee opened in One north neighborhood. I have access to great coffees at work!

Wow, I still cannot believe we can have this quality Japanese food in Singapore!! I hope those seasoned Japanese chefs stay here and keep this quality for a long time. This newly opened Tendon restaurant has only two options in their menu. Special Tendon (13.90) and Vegetable Tendon (12.90). We ordered Special Tendon, which came with 2 fresh prawns, 2 pieces of tender chicken breast, 1 pumpkin, 1 Okura, 1 mushroom, 1 baby corn, and 1 slow cooked runny egg. Everything was carefully cooked by chefs who are cooking in front of you behind the counter table. The tempura skin is not thick (the cheaper tempura always disguise the size of prawns with thicker skin), and the Tendon is topped with a little sweetened but nice sauce. One bowl was really big to finish, and overall experience was really satisfying.

I like their pizzas, that remind me "mochi-mochi" textured pizzas I used to have in Pizzerias in Japan.

Watching bartenders creating cocktails, I was totally convinced they are artists and pursuing the better cocktail for every single glass with their pride.

Sun Ray Cafe is one of my favorite cafes where they serve great coffees (they roast coffee beans in house) and staff are friendly. I tried their eggs Benedict for the first time and i found they need a little more attention to make it better (or decent). They creatively used their homemade Belgian Waffle to put poached eggs on. The waffles were undercooked about 10% of the portion and even the part which was fully cooked, it was very condensed which didn't match to the texture of eggs. I hope they improve this dish as it is still my favorite cafe.

I have been to this restaurant for lunch and tried for dinner this time. Meat was a bit salty but the sauce was salted mildly so balancing as a whole. I liked the sides, grilled diced apple and peach, good addition of freshness.

Tried Beef Rendang set. I went to their outlet in Bukit Timah with a group of friends. It was astonishibg experience, so I tried this outlet. I didn't have excitement from this dish today but will try again for other menu.

Unexpectedly this experimentally named dish was great!! Hollandaise sauce is their original, laksa hinted but rather sweet, and nicely flavored. Their home made bread was also great!! I would like to take my friends here next time. This fish costed S$14.90 nett.
