Fans of eggwich now have a fiery option to spice up their day. The combination of otah, egg and pancake was delicious, and is a great addition to their line of savoury eggwiches!

This must be the epitome of comfort food. You get a generous portion of crispy chicken cutlet and noodles drenched with curry gravy. We’re more familiar with curry chicken and yellow noodles, and it was our first time trying curry with wanton mee noodles and crispy fried chicken. The curry was flavourful but not too rich or lemak, drinkable and thin enough to coat the noodles. The noodles were light and springy QQ with no alkaline taste which we really enjoyed, literally slurped them up in seconds! The chicken cutlet was delightfully crispy and tasted like red fermented beancurd, a flavour which we personally enjoy. The combination of curry and 南乳 was strong and tasty, but it was on the brink of jelat at the end. Definitely comfort food for days when you’re craving it! 🤤

We also tried out their wantons because the price was super affordable, and got 5 each expecting them to be on the smaller side but boy were we wrong because these were normal-bigger sized wantons that were meaty! Not outstanding/life changing but decent and def value for money :D

Cantonese Delights is definitely worth a try! Especially since the queue moves pretty fast. 👍 We will be back to explore more of Hong Lim Food Centre and get our 大豆小豆 fix too 😛

We’ve always been curious about babkas, especially after watching vids of beautifully braided babkas in the past. This was their new babka flavour and we were stoked since it was matcha and black sesame <3! Unfortunately, the matcha flavours were overshadowed by the sourdough base and we wouldn’t have known it was matcha if not for the colour. The black sesame swirl however, was pleasantly nutty and sweet, a breakthrough from just eating sourdough bread, but we do wish they were more generous with it.

We fell so thoroughly inlove with this bundt cake. The lemon flavour was a sour punch and cut through the sweetness of a bundt cake PERFECTLY. They use spelt flour which gave it an additional nutty oaty flavour which we really really liked. We even fought over the last bite of this!

We were brimming with excitement when we got this because the SMELLS, the smell of cream cheese was absolutely heavenly, and the way it was a giant dollop on top? Irresistible. The cream cheese was rich and fragrant from the herbs. The only thing is that this is prob best eaten on the spot, because heating it up would melt the CC :(

Can’t leave a bakery without getting their PAC! TBH it was our first ever sourdough based viennoiserie and we weren’t expecting the texture to be so bread like (instead of butter and flaky). The use of natural yeast definitely developed a deeper and tangy flavour for the pastries but it probably wasn’t really our thing :”)
.
We’ve had and loved our fair share of sourdough cakes (buttertown!) and loaves before, and it was interesting to try sourdough viennoiseries, but it probably isn’t for us 🫠 guess we’ll have to pass on the health benefits too…🤧 More misses than hits but we forsee ourselves coming back for their bundt cake and sourdough loaves in the future

These are without a doubt, one of the best scones in SG! ☝🏻Nestled above the hectic office crowd in One Raffles Place, Humble Bakery is a little gem 💎 that totally surprised us with how good their scones were 🙂‍↕️

Humble Bakery prides themselves on their mochi scones - and it’s no wonder that this is one of their bestsellers. This scone had a delightfully chewy mochi wrapped by a smooth taro paste and encased in their original scone pastry 😮‍💨 The subtle sweetness from the yam paired well with the mochi, and made the scone not too dry. Just look at the mochi pull! 🤩

This is our third time getting this flavour because we absolutely loved it. This was a great balance between savoury from the parmesan cheese and sweetness from the callebaut white chocolate. 🍫 Crispy on the outside, yet soft, fluffy and moist on the inside, the texture of their scones were also on point! 🫶🏻
.
Humble Bakery may be unassuming, but their scones are definitely worth a try. Many have said their indoor seating area is pleasant, and provides a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of the CBD. They are definitely our go to when we’re craving scones!

The pretty layers of green, pink and red really said “spring 🌸🍃🤍” to us. Made with their homemade strawberry jam base, and topped with strawberry milk, this added a good and sweet balance to the matcha. Although the milk and matcha initially tasted like separate components, they mixed well towards the end, and we especially liked the texture of the jam! ☺️
