Got to know of this place through Food King and I totally see why they are foodking good.

The portions of poke were humongous haha very worthwhile! I ordered beef cubes, spicy salmon, tofu skin (which is actually inari!), edamame, chuka wakame and almond with brown rice.

The beef cubes were soft and tender whereas the salmon was so fresh and firm. The toppings were also fantastic - love the inari!!

However, they only have bar seats though ): wish they have lower seats haha but it doesn't hurt the overall experience - just a good to have.

Highly recommended :)

Price: 6/10
Service: 6/10 (as mostly self service)
Food: 9/10
Ambience: 6/10 (would be better to have a mixture of seatings)

Overall: 8/10 - totally would be back again and again

Usually I have TDC at Guoco Tower but since it's (still) under renovation, we made a 'pilgrimage' to MarinaOne haha

Super impressed with TDC spring menu!

Ordered 2x servings of baby spinach (+$0.50 extra per serving), chicken breast, honey tofu, ginger miso glazed edamame, chopped cashew nuts as well as the yuzu.

Every component was extremely well seasoned and a huge shout-out to the yuzu sauce - tangy and sweet!

PS: Really hope that the Guoco Tower TDC finishes renovation soon haha!

The dish is tasty and I must say the mentaiko here is done really well. However, the portion size for the burpple beyond set is really tiny. Feels more like an appetizer rather than a main. Decent food but unless they revise their portion size, not coming back.

Was excited when I saw this on burpple as I'm a big fan of customized bowls but sadly, the ingredients were bland and dry.

I picked the Chicken Breast, Edamame, Sweet Potatoes, Brown Rice and Sunflower seeds as well as a hot and spicy dressing (on the side)

The chicken breast is dry and tasteless, Edamame lacks salt, sweet potatoes are dry (but how?? I have no idea) and the brown rice and sunflower seeds taste as they should be, nothing special. Given, the sauce is supposed to help season the bowl but I guess after trying bowls from TDC, I expected the individual ingredients to be seasoned. I'm glad I requested for the dressing on the side because the hot and spicy dressing taste foul (to me, at least).

So what I got in the end was a dry, albeit super healthy (I think) bowl. Not recommend.

Price: 6/10 (with burpple deal, it's quite affordable)
Service: 5/10
Food: 2/10
Ambience: 7/10 (quiet evening with warm lights)
Overall: 3/10 (Good to try once maybe?)

Ordered the Paprika Chicken and Cheesy Rendang dish and although the cafe was relatively empty, the dishes took ~25mins to arrive. It was also quite warm - it felt like a toaster inside!

The waiter came to explain that as the chicken is prepared from scratch, the waiting time is slightly longer. Apparently, they had reviews in their other concept (Citrus by the Pool) that their prepped chicken was tough and hence they decided to try with raw ingredients.

Well, although the wait was long, I have to admit the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. The wedges were quite tough though. Probably should have baked it while preparing the chicken 😂.

My boyfriend had the Rendang dish and we found it underseasoned and bland. Quite disappointed ):

Overall, I feel that the cafe is pretty and they serve some neat dishes especially the customized salad bowls. Pity these are not on the Burpple deals. Their marble tables are very instaworthy and the decor is upscale and chic. Personally feel it might be better as a dessert cafe. Probably will be back if they have more dessert items but otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way for this.

Used the Burpple breakfast deal.

Although the deal mentioned spring blossom and garlic bread should be a set, the cashier charged us extra for the garlic bread ):

There were also miscommunication where initially the cashier denied that the breakfast deal could be used as it is only for weekdays morning but after repeatedly clarifying that the deal didn't mention it, she allowed us to use it.

Not a great start to the experience though.

Moving on to the food.
The breads we took were Spring Blossom, Garlic Bread and a Coffee loaf.

Just one word to describe them all: disappointing ):
The Garlic bread lacks flavor, the spring blossom is way too oily and the coffee loaf has no coffee taste at all. But I have to admit they were incredibly fluffy.

The drinks were sub-par too as the soy milk is quite an acquired taste while the milk tea lacks depth.

Very disappointed as I heard great reviews about this bakery but it didn't deliver. Or maybe my local taste buds ain't used to it 😰

Nonetheless, the ambience is good as the whole bakery feels very atas so I guess that's one redeeming factor. I won't be back though, that's for sure.

Price: 5/10 (quite pricey without Burpple)

Was craving pizza and decided to give Morettino a try. Service was commendable - staffs were polite and friendly, really made us feel at ease.

We ordered the pesto chicken pizza as well as the spaghetti amatriciana with burrata. The pasta came first and first impression was the burrata looks like it melted... Lol. Was expecting a ball or at least a semi ball but it arrived looking like it was probably there maybe 20minutes ago ):

The pizza came around 5 minutes later and it was not hot. The chicken pieces were also dry and bland.

Ambience was enjoyable as it was a quiet Wednesday evening and they had some pretty nice music too. However, the food is a disappointment and sad to say, we won't be back ):

Wanted to visit Gangsta Ramen for quite some time now and eatigo 30% + $5 Eatigo voucher finally motivated us enough to give this a try!

Getting to this place was quite a feat as Google maps pointed us to the side entrance of the complex when we could have entered from the front... After arriving, the place was very empty 😲 okay fair enough, it's a Saturday afternoon so probably that's normal since it's a CBD area.

We couldn't find anyone upon entering and only after a few repeated hellos did a middle aged server came out to greet us. She honored the Eatigo deal without questions and proceeded to explain what is included in the discount. After we made our order, we have to make payment first, which comes up to ~$18.

We ordered the Spicy Ramen ($12), Cheese Ramen ($12), Torikatsu ($2.50), Smoked Duck ($2.50) and 2x Hot Green Tea ($1.50 each). Only the drinks were excluded from the discount.

The good:
✔ Springy Ramen
✔ Soft and Melty Char Siew
✔ Torikatsu was SO GOOD - Crispy outside moist inside

The not-so-good:
❌ Broth was on the lighter side, quite forgettable
❌ Spicy paste has a very gamey/porky smell which I found quite unpleasant
❌ No seaweed & also not in menu even as an add on

Overall: probably would not visit again as it's quite a normal bowl of noodles (I wouldn't really call it Ramen since the broth is really not up to standard). But if you're there, please give the Torikatsu a go. It's only $2.50 and it's soooooo good ☑

Nice coffee spot in town and the burpple deal made the afternoon coffee even sweeter!

They also have dairy free alternative like soy or almond milk, available at no additional charge.

Service was impeccable too! Highly recommended and will be back :)
