Wanted to try VeganBurg since FOREVER and glad to finally do it today!
We ordered the Beetroot Avocado ($11.90) and Char-Grilled Satay ($10.90) as well as the meal set (Broccoli & Seaweed Fries respectively with drinks - $3.90 add on).
The Beetroot Avocado has a fried soy patty and it was so good! The texture of the patty is very meatish and doesn't taste like soy at all. Highly recommended.
Char-grilled Satay was meh as the patty is too soft and mushy. The satay sauce was also generally lacking in flavor...
Broccoli is quite normal, but I like that they seasoned it with lemon juice so it is slightly tangy. The fries was really good though! Not much seaweed taste but it was fried crispy outside yet fluffy inside.
Overall would recommend to get the fried patties burger in VeganBurg as it is really good 👍
Have been craving dim sum for a while now and finally got to have it after work! (Have been working from home the past week so good to be back in office for a bit and eat the good food in town xD)
We ordered about 8 dishes (only 6 are featured here)..
Highly recommended items:
- Coriander prawn dumplings ($4.00++) : these are filled with prawn AND meat! The fillings are super plump and juicy. Must-order!
- Meat dumplings in spicy oil ($6.00++) : the sauce is the bomb... The black vinegar + chilli oil coats the silky dumpling extremely well and it just glides down your throat. Mmm 😋
- Crispy Red Bean w Banana ($4.00++) : This is really well made and both ingredients compliments each other well. I think the fact that Yum Cha fry this upon order (it still taste fresh) makes this dish from good to awesome
Still okayish items:
- Xiao Long Bao ($4.80++) : decent xlb, better than DTF one imo because they used rice wine which give it a bit of a sweeter taste but still pale in comparison to the one at 大上海
- Scallop Pea-Shoot Dumpling ($4.80++): the filling is nice but the skin doesn't really have much taste. The texture of the skin is also a bit off (too gummy/sticky for my liking)
- Paper Chicken Wings ($5.00++) : although it's in the fried section, the wings were not fried fried so the skin still remain soft. I found it okay but it seems the bf likes it
Give it a miss:
- Sesame BBQ Pork Pastry ($4.50++) : this was the first to come and it is cold and hard. The pastry taste very flat (not fragrant) and the BBQ pork is also not sweet/savory enough.
- Abalone Siew Mai ($5.80++) : we tried to be bougie and ordered this but the abalone is too fishy 🐟 would recommend to save the few $ and go for their normal Siew Mai instead (it's good! Just that the abalone did nothing for this dish)
There is a promotion for 30% dim sum items after 6pm on weekdays so do give this place a try! :)
Had been to Bread Yard 3 years ago and it left a very good impression on me. Hence, was pleasantly surprised to find it in Burpple Beyond!
I had the Shakshouka ($14) and the bf ordered the pulled pork eggs benedict ($14, pictured) as well as 2 cups of long black ($3 each). I requested for the Hokkaido Brioche to be swapped to Sourdough Rye as I preferred a harder bread to go with the saucey tomato dish.
The Shakshuka was alright. Not very impressed because I feel the tomato base could be more umami. However the sausage is really quite good.
Thankfully the pulled pork eggs benedict is insanely good! Very impressed with the pulled pork as it's chock-full of flavor and savory which goes so well with the Hokkaido Brioche underneath it.
The coffee is also very fragrant and smooth. Will definitely be back again!

Usually I have TDC at Guoco Tower but since it's (still) under renovation, we made a 'pilgrimage' to MarinaOne haha
Super impressed with TDC spring menu!
Ordered 2x servings of baby spinach (+$0.50 extra per serving), chicken breast, honey tofu, ginger miso glazed edamame, chopped cashew nuts as well as the yuzu.
Every component was extremely well seasoned and a huge shout-out to the yuzu sauce - tangy and sweet!
PS: Really hope that the Guoco Tower TDC finishes renovation soon haha!
Was craving some good burgers and decided to give the armoury a shot! I ordered the Ohana Burger ($22) while the bf had the Mentaiko Burger ($24, pictured). We also requested to change one of the fries to sweet potato fries (+$2).
First impression : serving (of fries) was insanely huge!! Very generous portion and extremely crispy (though I found it to be slightly over fried). We requested for the cheese on my burger to be transferred over to my bf's and they were able to accommodate this request so thumbs up on that!
Burger wise, mine was quite okay. The bun was nice and fluffy but still maintained it's toastedness (which I greatly appreciate). However, I feel the sauce and patty was quite forgettable - not bad but not mind blowing. The bf's mentaiko burger was very interesting and the salmon ikura really changed the flavor profile of the burger.
Overall, we paid $24 for the meal (no gst, no service charge - huge boon!) Wasn't the best burger we had but definitely extremely value for money, given the taste, ambience and price point. Will be back with the one-for-one again :)

The bf had the beef noodles set and it was slightly sweet. I found it a bit odd but he loved it haha. Set comes with Spring rolls too (could choose fresh or fried). We picked the fresh option and it was so good!
Chicken baguette was good, though could use a bit more sauce. The roll was well toasted, tender chicken and fresh veggies. It comes with a side of spring rolls and it was very fresh!
Saw many good reviews on Burpple so finally gave this a try! Boy was I glad I did.
We ordered the Beer Burger ($21) and the Lamb Burger ($21) using the burpple coupon and also added on the Lime Zest Fries ($8) as a side to share.
Both burgers were requested to be done medium.
The beef burger was an absolute delight! The buns were toasted and buttered to perfection, patty extremely tender and juicy and the pickles was also really good! The bf had the Lamb Burger and he enjoyed it a lot too. Personally I find it a bit too gamey for my liking but I was never really a Lamb person so haha up to your preference I guess.
The fries was also done really well - the lime zest really changed the flavor profile and made it very refreshing. Also liked how the uneven cuts of the fries made the dish have different textures.
Overall, a very good spot to have a chill dinner date. Highly recommended and will be back again for sure!
Had lunch there and ordered the Roast Chicken ($25++). Chicken was very tender - it can be pulled apart without much effort at all. However, the pumpkin could have been roasted longer as it was slightly crunchy (preferred it to be softer).
Overall, though slightly pricey, a very good meal nonetheless.
One word to describe this: irresistible!
Really love how the sweetness of the cocoa complements the nutty oat milk so well. Will definitely be getting this a couple more times (before it disappears from the menu UwU)
The Starbucks Reserve at United Square is also something to marvel at. The high ceilings and large panels of glass allows abundant sunlight to stream through which creates a very lovely ambience.
Will come back here to chill :)
