The flavor is rather mild and not as sweet as many other cream puffs like Beard Papa's so I really liked it. The melon on the soft puff gave it a crispy texture, which went really well with the custard cream.

If you're craving for something light on a work day, this is your go-to! โ˜บ๏ธ

Opened by sogurt, KARA Cafe & Dessert Bar has an amazing cafe-like layout and atmosphere with a great service crew.

If you're a fan of cookies with soft serve, this is definitely your dish! The cookies were soft and moist and really delicious. We ordered the Maple Lavender softserve, and it was not overly sweet and was thick and creamy. I loved the Lychee Rose yogurt as well, as it had a very light and refreshing taste as compared to the Maple Lavender, similar to a sorbet. We ultimately still went with the Maple Lavender to go with our dish as we thought it would match it better.

I absolutely love dessert cafes and I will definitely be back here soon ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿง

This is one of the better hawker ramens out there. The soup was more on the watery side and the flavor wasn't too overpowering. The ramen was a "legit" ramen and wasn't those maggie mee ramen you can find anywhere else! The best part of the dish, however, was the pork belly. Charred and grilled to perfection, it was juicy and tender and paired very well with the whole dish.

This wasn't mind-blowing or anything, but definitely worth it's price and if I'm craving a cheap Japanese meal when I'm in the vicinity, this is the place I would turn to. ๐Ÿœ

There are super few food places in Singapore that I would take the liberty to travel down to and Hambaobao has now officially become one of them.

Crisp and well cooked buns with an amazing coleslaw and perfectly cooked, soft and spiced pulled pork, the spiced pulled pork is cheap yet delicious. I originally wanted to get the Pork Belly burger, but it was, unfortunately, sold out but when one door closes, another opens, and now I've got a new favorite burger in town ๐Ÿ”

It's $1.50 more for fries but I didn't get them this time round. I will definitely try it next time, though!

Brother Bird never fails to disappoint. A crispy exterior with a classic mochi interior, the mochi doughnut stole my heart away. Topped with a thick and creamy softserve and served with almonds and crispy biscuits, the signature mochi is one of the must-try dishes at Brother Bird.

The June weekly flavor rotation schedule has been released so do check out their instagram (@brotherbirdsg) โ˜บ๏ธ

๐ŸšซWarning: Expect killer queues๐Ÿšซ

This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Singapore. Extremely affordable (the meal in the picture only costs $11.70!) and with a wide variety of teochew dishes, this place is a popular spot, especially for Taxi drivers! I always love how non-watery their porridge is, as compared to many other Teochew shops and my favorite dishes are the handmade fishcake, minced pork and the salted vegetables. The salted vegetables are really salty though, so do it eat with your porridge!

They just moved to their new location and have closed down at their old location!

Affordable, good portion and good taste, what's there not to love?

The fish and chips was super crispy on the outside, and moist and buttery on the inside. Fries were nicely salted and garnished with chilli flakes that made it more flavorful and spicy. I absolutely loved the salted egg yolk sauce as it wasn't too thick and had a "sauce-y" texture that paired well with the fish and chips! The mashed potato was alright, but I'm definitely going to try another side the next time I come down.

This place is definitely going to become one of my most frequented western food places in Singapore! โ˜บ๏ธAffordable and with a good portion, it's definitely worth every penny!

Crazily affordable, crazily huge portion, crazily worth it; this place never disappoints! Tried the cheesy fish & chips today and the fish was super crispy and tender on the inside, fries were crispy and on point, coleslaw was as amazing as always, and the amount given was really worth its price!

Also, HUGE news! They're accepting reservations starting TOMORROW (29 May)! Beat the queue and reserve a seat, especially during peak hours. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're hungry and low on cash ๐Ÿ’ธ Absolutely love love love this place, do come down to give it a try!

I loved everything about this dish. From the tender and melt-in-your-mouth charred salmon slices, to the non-overpowering mentaiko mayonnaise, to one of the most flavorful and perfectly cooked Japanese vinegar rice, to the chilli flakes which gave spiciness to the whole dish, this affordable Mentai Don is really out of this world. I'm already craving for more and if you're hungry, I'll recommend getting the Large sized one instead, which is only $3 more than the original.

One of my wishlisted dessert places โœ”๏ธ
Being an avid fan of salted egg yolk, I absolutely loved how the salted egg sauce flowed out from the mochi. I expected the mochi to be just soft and mushy, but the outside of the mochi is surprisingly quite crispy! I chose the cookie butter softserve and I have to say, they were definitely generous with their serving. The softserve was thick and creamy, though I felt that the softserve could use a tiny bit more flavor.
Overall, the dish was well-balanced, making it unsweet, which I absolutely loved. Highly recommended to dessert lovers out there!

A highly raved location for ramen, Marutama Ra-men's thin noodles and thick and flavorful chicken broth has attracted a huge sea of people. They give a generous portion of seaweed and spring onions, plus the char siew slice was rather big as well! Add on $1.50 for the Ajitsuke Tamago (half-boiled seasoned egg) which definitely won't disappoint. A runny yolk and a soft outerior, the Ajitsuke Tamago is one of the best eggs that I've ever eaten with my ramen.
Be sure to head over early as there are long lines during peak periods!

This American Breakfast is honestly one of the best that I've ever had here in Singapore! Though the plate and portion look rather big and overwhelming when you order it, I could actually finish it by myself. However, if you're a small-medium eater, do share it with someone else! Everything was really well-cooked and flavored, especially the potato rosti which was thin and crispy! The portion and taste were really worth its price and I definitely recommend this meal to all the breakfast lovers out there! :)
