This place has gained much popularity over the past few months for its flavorful Thai Wanton Noodles and became even more famous after being rated 3 stars on Food King. After so much hype, I decided to go down to try it. I honestly don’t prefer to eat Wanton Mee but this store actually makes me crave for it 💕 Okay, even my boyfriend who says everything tastes okay said this is good so you should definitely down to try it!!
.
The noodles were QQ and cooked to perfection and oh my, the char siew was so fatty and delicious and to my surprise, the filling of the wanton was packed with so much flavor though it looked so plain! They added pork lard into the bowl and it added an extra texture to the whole dish (and they gave a lot as well!! so this kind of made me love it even more cus i love pork lard). Overall, I really loved this bowl of Wanton Mee and I think this will become my new go-to spot ☺️

Sushiro has been the place sitting at the top of my wishlist for the longest time and I’m so glad I finally got to go down and try the food there 😚 Located at a pretty secluded mall, Thomson Plaza, which is a slow 15mins walk from Marymount MRT, there was a pretty long queue behind us at around 6:30pm in the evening so do go down early to avoid the queue 💯 Sushiro’s setting is small and confined and there were really little seats (which explains the queue) but I absolutely loved the environment and bustling atmosphere!
.
It’s no surprise that I ordered the Bara Chirashi Don, which is a hot favorite at Sushiro. I loved the freshness of the seafood and the generous portion of seafood given, which is definitely a bang for $12.80! I ate a piece of seafood with a scoop of rice and all the way up till the end, I still had enough seafood to go around! 💕

Since Sushiro was closed on Valentines’ Day and because it was nearing 9, the only place I could think of was The Roti Prata House! When we reached, it was packed with people but luckily we were able to find a seat at the corner. The staff members recommended us to have the Nasi Goreng Chicken Masala and so we did!
.
I absolutely adore the taste of the Nasi Goreng, which was super fragrant. I don’t usually eat Malay or Indian food so I’m pretty sure this is the first Nasi Goreng that I’ve ordered on my own accord but after this Nasi Goreng, I’m sure I’ll be eating more Nasi Goreng in the future! The chicken was crispy on the outside, but rather dry on in the inside. This wasn’t something I would specially go down for, but if I’m in the area, I would definitely eat this! Rather pricey, but worth the splurge!

Okay, how can I not post a video about this cheese toast? 🤤 Just look at that CHEEEEEEEESE. Located at Marina Bay Carnival Bayfront Event Space, Bows and Ties is a store you can’t miss!
.
The cheese toast is honestly so sinful and good and I’m craving it as I’m writing this review right now!! If the food tastes this good, the service was even better! The staff was honestly so friendly and cheerful and he allowed us to go into his store to watch his prepare the toast! Kudos to them for such great food and service 💕 I’ll definitely be back, highly recommended!!

I’m so pumped that I finally got to try the food here as it’s one of my wishlisted places 😚 Located at the Punggol Container Yard, Big Fish Small Fish offers a wide range of inventive sauces like Curry Mayo and XO Mayo (and it’s free flow as well 💕)
.
I love all the crazy new sauces that they offer and it was rather addictive. My favorite combination was the Curry Mayo and Tartar sauce! The chips were quite cold but the star was really the seabass ✨ The seabass was PERFECTLY cooked and melted in my mouth 😚 It’s been long since I’ve had a well-cooked fish and I admit, I was pretty taken aback that the fish was cooked this well. The crisp on the fish was on point as well 💯 Absolutely love this place!!

I’ve always wanted to try this store after my friend recommended it to me when we were at Star Vista and I finally did! 💕 Omo-omo is a korean-japanese fusion concept and sells a variety of dons to suit everyone’s taste!
.
I have to say, I was really impressed! The steak was well seasoned and even though the meat was cooked over my requested “medium-rare”, it was still really delicious. The star of the show however, is the Multi-Grains Rice which was cooked to perfection. This store cooks up one of the best multi-grains rice that I’ve ever had 😍 I’m seriously craving this as I’m writing this review so I’ll definitely be back soon!

Located in a secluded corner in Lavender, this roast meat store has gained much popularity for their char siew and roast pork! 💕 It also happens to be in the #burpplesghot100 list. I vaguely remember coming here once before but they disappointed back then as the roast pork skin was hard rather than crispy the previous time I was here, but I decided to give it one more shot and I’m glad I did!
.
First off, the char siew is really “melt-in-your-mouth” quality 🤤 The sauce matched well with the roast pork and char siew as it wasn’t too flavorful or salty. The highlight of the whole dish to me, however, was the roast pork! They finally nailed it this time I came and the skin was CRACKLING in my mouth and the meat was tender and moist 😍 The dish was already mouth-watering by itself but do add some chilli for some extra kick. Super impressed this time round and can’t wait to go back for more soon!!

For a “shiok” dinner or supper, Scissors Cut Curry is the place to go! With long queues all through the night, sharing a table with others is a common sight here. The queue moves along super quickly and people usually eat as quickly too! 😂
.
Absolutely love the pork cutlet and curry here! The pork wasn’t dry and the fact that the plate was FLOODED with delicious curry just warmed my heart (as much as it warmed my mouth!) There’s a slight hint of spiciness (very subtle) in the curry and they have a range of other delicious ingredients as well! I recommend the pork belly as well 👍🏻

Omu has been gaining a lot of popularity online for their lava eggs and after a long wait, I finally managed to go down and try. You can choose from 5 different sauces, and many different sides to go with your Omurice!
.
I was quite surprised to find some chicken and mushroom inside my rice as I ordered the plain one 👍🏻 The cream was definitely creamy but I felt the tomato taste could be a tad bit strong, but I still loved how well the sauce goes with my Omurice! Personally felt that the rice itself could have a bit more flavor but if you eat it with the egg and sauce, it shouldn’t be a problem. As you can see from the video, there were no problems with the lava egg 👌🏻👌🏻

Shuu Choux has been gaining much popularity, being hailed as one of the best cream puffs in Singapore. It’s also one of #burpplesghot100 “Sweet Tooth” stores! 🍭
.
I decided to try the earl grey cream puff and I have to admit, it’s really one of the best cream puffs in Singapore! The puff itself was of the right thickness and the puff was soft on the inside. The cream was definitely the highlight of this whole cream puff. The cream had a nice balanced earl grey flavor and wasn’t overly sweet, which I enjoyed thoroughly. The puff was also PACKED with cream!! The cream flows out so smoothly from the puff so do bring some tissues with you if you’re planning to eat it 🤤

If you’re in Batu Pahat, you definitely must come and try Han Kee! Han Kee is super popular amongst locals and it’s always packed every single morning ☺️ I grew up eating this otah bread and it’s by far my favorite breakfast in the world ✨
.
The standard has definitely dropped since the previous time that I’ve been here but it’s still as heartwarming as ever 💕🌷 The taste is really one of a kind. The bread leans more towards a softer than crispy side, and the otah, egg and cheese just blended so well together. Still so yummy even after so long!! I proudly ate 3 pieces 🤤

When I’m around in the Suntec Area, Grillo’s will always be the first place to pop into my mind 💕
I absolutely adore the different textures in this bowl. The beef was succulent and nicely seasoned and cooked. The egg helped to bring the whole dish together and the frie garlic added an extra “umph” to the dish as it brought a crunchy texture! 🍚
