Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a Coffee Break lover 💓 After constantly trying their latte, chocolate and mocha flavors, I decided to give their tea series a try!
.
Oh my my, this has surpassed Matcha Latte to be my favorite drink from Coffee Break 😭 You can taste the passionfruit and rose tea flavors infused all together. However, this drink leans towards the “sweeter” side so those without a sweet tooth, drink this from the top (where all the ice is at! 🤣) Will definitely be ordering this for many more visits to come!!

The long lines at Pepper Bowl every single day can maybe explain why I keep going back for more! Addictive and one of my guilty pleasures 💓
.
The Black Pepper Pork Rice had a generous serving, with the pieces of pork packed with flavor from the black pepper glaze. 💯
On the other hand, the Black Pepper Beef Hor Fun had a strong and tantalizing black pepper flavor and the beef was tender 🤤
.
You should definitely add an Onsen Egg if you can because it helps to thicken the sauce and add an extra texture to the dish :> I personally love the beef more but if you aren’t a beef-eater, the pork is definitely your next go-to!

Back to my boyfriend’s favorite place so that he can eat his Laksa Pasta! Meanwhile, I decided to try something else on their menu, which is the Salted Egg Chicken Pasta 💯
.
I loved how the salted egg wasn’t overpowering and the pasta is super well cooked! The chicken is as good as I remembered, super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, even after a long time! However, I still prefer the Salted Egg Chicken Burger kekeke

You won’t believe the number of people who actually asked me what this dish was! Located right beside the Michelin Star Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, Happy Chef is a humble hawker store that sells a variety of Western dishes, including the usual dishes like Chicken Chop to rarer ones like Chicken Kiev! Each dish you order comes with 2 sides of your choice and there are numerous sides to choose from like Potato Salad and Spaghetti!
.
The Chicken Kiev is guaranteed to make you full! The crust was crispy, while the chicken was tender and the cheese, as seen in the picture, was AMAZING. Also, I LOVED THE SAUCE 🤤 I ate everything with the sauce but those with a lighter palette, the sauce might be too heavy for you! The fries could use a little more salt and crisp and the spaghetti was pretty average but who am I to complain when this dish was just $11! Super affordable and definitely a bang for your buck!

Cleaned this bowl within 5mins 🤤 I love the combination of flavors and the steak was perfectly cooked to Medium! Maybe it’s my personal preference but I wished the steak could be a tad bit thicker. Rhe teriyaki sauce wasn’t too sweet or salty and perfectly balanced the freshness of the cucumbers. Overall, it’s still a dish I would go back to when I’m in the neighborhood 💯

The queueing was 😩 but the experience was definitely ☺️
.
Had the Bacon & Carrot ($7) from Carrot Cubes and I absolutely loved the play of textures. My friend loved it and practically finished half of the bowl. Super friend staff as well, kudos to them!!
.
Next up, there was the Fried Pork Belly ($5) from Soi Thai Soi Nice! I was crazy over the sauce over the pork belly! Some parts of the pork belly were quite chewy, well other parts were perfectly crisp and tender 🤤
.
The Wicked Cream never fail to amaze with their gourmet marshmallows ($4). My friend couldn’t resist splurging once she knew the store was at Artbox!
.
If you love less sweetened milk tea, then you will LOVE the 1 litre Thai Milk Tea ($4) from 555 Thai Tea. Super long queues throughout the day and even most of the other stall owners had a cup of this in their stores.
.
I was pleasantly surprised by #goshot 24k Ice Cream ($5.90) which I was the most refreshing thing I’ve had. It’s not the creamy ice cream but more of the icy kind and under the HOT weather yesterday, it was one of my favorites of the day.
.
Cafe3byJW: when your food is on top of your drink ($13.80) 💯 I would say their order method is super efficient and it was nice to have snacks and a drink to share with my friends. I LOVE soda drinks so Blue Paradise was really thirst quenching in the heat.
.
omg what can I say??? the butterfly pea drink ($4) was MY FAVOURITE drink at a carnival EVERRRR it had a fragrantly sweet taste and i was BEGGING for more by the end and sipped every last bit of it 🤤 PLEASE PLEASE SERVE THIS EVERYTIME 😩
.
The Swag Social’s combo ($16) is quite worth, with fries, a dripbag and beef cubes. The fries were crisp and the beef cubes were rather unevenly cooked, some chewy parts and some undercooked parts but overall the seasoning was good. The dripbag had my friends fighting and squabbling over it but I totally didn’t get how to operate it ;-;
.
So looking forward to Artbox 2019 next year!!

If you want a variety of dishes at a low cost, Ye Shang Hai is the place to go! This place has always been a family favorite (esp my brother’s) and we always call it “Taxi Porridge” because a lot of taxi drivers come here to eat! It’s a super shiok place for meals at any time of the day but late night is definitely the best time 👍🏻👍🏻

I absolutely LOVED this dish. Being a big fan of salted egg, I always tend to order dishes w salted egg sauce! The chicken had a crisp skin and was tender on the inside while the salted egg sauce wasn’t too gelat and went perfectly together with the entire plate. The buns were crisp and moist and the fries were nicely seasoned as well! Overall, a super satisfied tummy!

It’s amazing to have a fries specialty store here in Singapore, seeing that it’s such a “hot” thing in Europe. I loved the crunchiness and softness of the fries and the sauce & onions went with the fries in perfect harmony. Such comfort food deserves to be loved!! One of the best fries here in Singapore but it can’t be compared to Belgium fries in Europe 🤤

The Workbench Bistro is located in a humble corner under a HDB block in Ang Mo Kio. Despite the small size of their cafe, there was always a steady flow of customers coming in, even at 8:30pm at night!
.
We ordered their most popular dish, the “Laksa Pasta” and it was really as amazing as everyone said it was! The laksa flavor was strong but not overpowering and it paired surprisingly really well with the linguine pasta. Every other ingredient was cooked well and everything came together to work in perfect harmony in this dish. My usually-this-dish-is-okay-i-have-no-opinion boyfriend loves Laksa and he rated this dish 8-9/10 so it’s really super super good and we’ll be back again!!

I personally love the matcha ice cream, but I prefer a good old Oreo McFlurry than the matcha one. Would probably eat a matcha cone or matcha twist cone instead but yasss i’ll be back for more!!
