Having a good feeling that yummy food is sprouting from this new area (like Carvery at Park Hotel), hopefully the trend continues!! Ordering food from an Ipad saves time and hassle. Serving portions are huge, especially the "not-so" Baby pork ribs. Even the salmon tasted better and portion is 3 times more than the used to be better IKEA cafe. Very yumyumyumyum and satisfied!!

Unlike buffets, high tea is meant to go slow. Eat chat, then eat chat. Sampling one item at a time with tea/coffee. Most of the pastries tasted good and the chocolatey stuff are the best!! Somehow 1.5 hours passed just to eat finish whatever is shown in the picture!!

Why should salad bar buffet end after Ponderosa and Sizzlers? Indulge in soup, greens, pasta, potato, ice cream, salads and dressings before realising you are full and still get served up an array of delicious meats. Pork and chicken chop are "gao" and juicy. Blue cheese and their mocktails taste interesting.

Fresh meats and seafood with filling portions. ($12 per pax) The only more value-for-money steamboat than this is DIY at home. Mei Ling market hard to get to though.

Had their sandwiches for lunch, not bad. Curacao green (blue colour drink) had this orangey cocktail taste that feels like I'm at a beach on Boracay - the "I'm on holiday" drink. Ordered 4 tarts, each has their own unique flavour, when shared between 2 of us got that nauseatic feel from the overdose of dairies towards the end. Maybe should eat 2 and dapao 2 tarts next time.

A cafe with truly unique tastes, though portions not filling and a little pricey. Better if they had a taster set to sample all their unique creations. Hokubee beef bowl: the beef is chewy and yumyumyumyum. Grilled chicken was pretty normal, however the sides (maitake mushroom and yogurt mash potatoes) were fantastic, wish got more to eat. Overall good for the mouth and tastebuds.

At V Hotel Bencoolen right beside NAFA campus and hard to get to because of construction works. But was well rewarded with flavourful food using ingredients like garlic, onions and Lebanese spices. Waiter very courteous and asked how we find the food. Price point too high though (~$25 per main course)

There's 2 other western stalls at the opposite food centre selling cheaper. But paying 50% more at iSteaks and getting 200+% satisfaction feels way better. Grilled chicken and 2 sides of choice ($7.50). Open till late for supper and after-beer activities.

Going at $45 you can get 3 set meals, 1 drink and 1 dessert at many of Liang Court's restaurants. Good way to restaurant hop trying their food. Hope they introduce this concept at other niche malls as well. Salmon rice bowl from Ryoshisushi Ikeikemaru and Pork belly from Okinawan Nirai-Kanai very yummy!!

Switching from Gong cha to this new kid on the block. Chewy bubbles and more flavourful then its peers. Other outlet at SCAPE ($2-4)

Flavoured thick crust encasing biscuit flakes. Comes with white and dark chocolate syrup served from taps. Armed with a hammer we were supposed to crack it open. Knocking it was noisy and tough, but with sheer brute force managed to smash it to smithereens. Filling but tasted normal.

They have craft beers from $10-15. The more interesting part is getting there as you lead your friends giving you perplexed looks while walking up to the rooftop of People's Park Complex (try it with different groups of first-timers). Nice chill out place for chats and good view of Chinatown. Can even have a foot or body massage at Mr Lim Reflexology on the 4th floor before that.
