Hidden away near AMK Hub, this store serves tea with fuller taste of greens (Matcha) and browns (Hojicha) than the likes of more popular coffee/drink outlets. Comes in a nice atas paper bag worthy enough to store the drinks.
Only half the table is shown. Burpple set for 2 had 2 sets of mains, salad, Miso soup (refillable), green tea (refillable) and 4 sticks of yakitori. They gave us 2 more yakitori just cos we share on Instagram. Food is flavorful right down to the green tea which is not watered down. Miso soup has salmon and clams inside, but only for the 1st round. The wasabi comes in a ball that looks like green Play-Doh.
Very crispy pork knuckles fit for 2 people. Cones with sauerkraut and nice brown sauce. Worth it for 1 for 1 Entertainer app. Waitress gave us very big smile when we ordered pork knuckles and pork ribs, scared we can't finish.
We had a 2 person set, so we order the best Chilli crab and butter crab. Fried mantous very very crispy, goes very well with the sweet Chilli gravy. The 2 crabs are medium sized. The veggie and BBQ stingray sides so-so, stingray was rubbery. All the cracking and plucking of meat from the shells lasted almost 1.5 hours. Very long dinner and very happy!!
Midway through exploration of Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve and farm visits, there's a cafe for hungry stomachs and tired legs. Tried chicken curry, nasi lemak and lady's finger. Couldn't tell if the veggies were fresher (since I'm not a vegetable connoisseur), but at least less oily then economic rice dishes. Food OK, price ok, BUT aircon is precioussss with the hot sun stalking out there!!
Had a 2 person set promo for $30. Besides the drinks and bread, the rest were hard to share especially only got 1 main course. Anyways, the mash potato, mushroom gravy from the chicken, and crème brulee dessert not bad!! Affordable French food.
Retro fast food situated far from convenience, but still very much worth going. Had a good ol Paddlepop waffle, breakfast waffle and a wings set meal. Fast food is pricier now ($15 for everything) but all cravings satisfied!!
A dimly lit and cozy bar. We tried the black truffle egg pizza which is their specialty. The very fungusted aroma and taste of the pizza was memorable, loved it alot. Pork chop was normal, but the sides (wedges and veggies) were delicious. Worth going back if got truffle craving like a pig.
For just $20, you get a pile of rice, a pile of curry, and a pile of fried chicken pork, egg, prawn, potato, etc. Very confusing dish, and usually not meant to be finished.
Not a coffee person, and just had dinner, so we were there for 2 wrong reasons - ended up with cakes and tea on the table. The double chocolate cake was very 'gao', but the toffee cake with vanilla ice cream felt refreshing. Sat outside alfresco-ly enjoying the blinding lights of passing cars.
Nice ambience (better than Atmosphere Cafe at Alexandra) but food-wise not so value for money, though they tasted not bad. Sit on comfy chair, enjoy ambience and sing-along old Chinese song, and they have 1-for-1 main course = Very happy.
Nice and refreshing papaya milkshake brought in from Taiwan!! It has a milky ice blended texture with sweet papaya taste. A little on the pricey side at $4.90 but worth a try!!
