It's been awhile since I've had a lobster roll actually and the one over at @tipsyflamingosg definitely did not disappoint.

Generous portions of fresh marinated lobster and crabmeat, then topped off with orange tobiko and smoked herring caviar - dang this was indulgent. Compared to their Ebi Katsu Sando, this takes the cake for sure!

Now I've got a hankering to try the lobster roll over at Burger & Lobster.

Oh yeah, it's my turn to be a slut for Eggslut. The American egg sandwich shoppe has finally hit our shores, opening it's first branch at Scotts Square to snaking queues. Y'all folks can't get enough of new food trends eh. (Myself included.) It actually reminds me of Shake Shack when they first opened over here - the queues, the hype, it's all too similar I tell ya!

Being egg specialists, @eggslutsg
offers up egg sandwiches and more! Scrambled, baked, overeasy, you name it. My friends decided to head down on a Saturday afternoon and while there was a queue, it took around 30 minutes to get a seat. (Which is kinda fast.) Well, we decided to get:

â—¾Fairfax Sandwich + Bacon [$15]
The OG Eggslut sandwich with buttery soft scrambled eggs is none other than the Fairfax. You just have to get this when you're at the slut. And of course, bacon is not necessary but definitely a much need salty and meaty addition to round off the sandwich that's topped with chives, onions, cheddar cheese and sriracha mayo

â—¾Sausage, Egg & Cheese [$12]
Reminding me of a fancier version of McDonald's Sausage McMuffin, this version from Eggslut was superb as well. The house-made chicken sausage was *chef kiss* and the brioche bun was everything the McMuffin ain't.

â—¾Cheeseburger [$13.5]
Sadly, the Gaucho wasn't available during our visit. (Why God why.) Hence my friends and I settled for the Cheeseburger as we're all carnivores and needed a lil' meat. Unfortunately, while a good sandwich in its own right, it didn't really impress and was kinda forgettable. It was very similar to the Sausage sandwich - which I found more flavourful cos of the sausage patty. So get that instead I would say if you're deciding between the two.

All in all, I'm glad I got to try Eggslut and be a slut myself. Their egg sandwiches are a pretty solid entry into the local market and the price ain't as bad as - *glances at Shake Shack*. I'll definitely head back to try the Gaucho, but only if there ain't no queues. I'm sure the hype will end sooner or later, just like - *glances at Shake Shack again*.

I've always been intrigued by not only their name but of @bearded.bella's food as well. The Melbourne-inspired cafe offers up delectable brunch grub, with crazy crowds to boot - so you know it must be good.

After a failed attempt at getting a seat during lunch - I learnt my lesson the second time around and made a reservation. Never one to pass up dessert - I decided to order the Pain Perdu, aka. Fancy AF French Toast. The name itself tickled my fancy, though one of the reasons I decided to order it was #ForTheGram.

I was so friggin' glad I did. One bite was all it took to blow me away. The pan-fried brioche was filled with pink guava compote and cardamom - and was simply divine. It took on a whole nother level when paired with a scoop of ice-cream. Soft brioche, creamy and crunchy compote filling, with an added spice kick thanks to the cardamom. The pink guava was quite subtle and seemed more like apples interestingly enough - making it warm apple pie but in French Toast form!

Honestly, this was THE best French Toast I've ever had and I'm definitely ordering it again. Aww yiss. How can something be so good, lawd.

Nothing beats a sweet and sour combination and that includes @kura.singapore's Key Lime Tart!

Basically a reminiscence of Lemon Meringue, the tart consists of key lime curd, torched meringue and lime zest. Pretty delicious I must say, though I wouldn't be opposed to a little more tartness and a little more zestiness to really being out the Key Lime flavour!

Yet another cafe has opened its doors along the stretch that is Joo Chiat. The cafe saturation over there is real y'all and it's becoming such a hot cafehopping spot.

Not to be missed is @prairie.sg, which opened their third outlet a couple of weeks ago as well. Decked out in a mixed of pale blue and orange, their latest spot offers a wide array of brunch dishes and coffee.

To be honest, I've tried their other outlet over at Botanic Gardens and the menu over there seems way more interesting and tantalizing then the usual brunch fanfare that their Joo Chiat outlet offers.

After perusing their menu for ages, I finally settled on trying the Prairie Breakfast. Now I usually avoid the "big breakfast" dishes as I find it a rip-off and a little too basic bitch for even my foodie palate. (I do apologize if I've offended anyone hahah.)

Nonetheless, the one over at Prairie was pretty good, with grilled chicken, bacon, sauteed mushrooms and choice of egg over sourdough. I went for the scrambled and it was perfection, both the buttery flavours from the scramble and the juices from the sauteed mushrooms enveloping the sourdough underneath. Yum. The standout though, was the side of grilled chicken that permeated tandoori spices making it super delish and unique to a big breakfast dish. (I might be wrong but it was definitely Indian spices.)

I do really like the vibes of the place and definitely wouldn't mind chilling there sometime with a cuppa if I'm ever in the area again. It's also one of the more spacious cafes along that stretch - so no fret about lack of seatings!

The sister company to ice-cream shoppe @denzygelato, @shiopatisserie focuses on freshly baked tarts that makes use of only premium ingredients. Yes, premium y'all.

These impeccable tarts are literally baked and assembled a few hours prior to collection to ensure its optimum freshness.

Included in the box are:
◾Cheese Brûlée
Lemon sponge, cream cheese, mascarpone, brûléed sugar - One of my top favourites of the bunch, the cheese brûlée packed quite a punch with it's two cheeses and it's mix of slightly savoury with delectably sweet and sour.

â—¾Earl Grey Pecan
Almond sponge, pecan butter, earl grey cream - The smooth pecan butter worked wonders with the earl grey cream. The flavour combination was perfect in every way.

â—¾Lime Basil
Lime sponge, lime basil curd, white chocolate cream - The flavours of their lime basil tart was quite subtle, with an overpowering hint of basil. It actually reminded me of Sourbombe's Rhubarb Basil bombe to be honest.

â—¾Mont Blanc
Rum sponge, cassis coulis, chestnut rum mousse, chestnut cream - This was my favourite out of all of the tarts. Dang thar cassis coulis we sublime and the inclusion of rum brought it to a whole nother level. (I don't really drink but put alcohol in desserts and I'm like hell yeah.)

I'm glad to have come across Shio Patisserie's delicate tarts and I do hope to see more flavours from them! Perhaps even a collab with their sister company Denzy? Ice-cream + tarts = Profit.

Finally got the chance to properly try some dishes at Melbourne-inspired @bearded.bella !

Sadly, as their Pancake. Bacon. Flight. Magic. was sold out, my next choice was to go for their tantalizing cold pasta dish. With seared Canadian scallops on top a bed of capellini pasta, chuka wakame, truffle oil and yuzu ponzu - dang this packed a punch. Full of umami from the truffle and chuka wakame, it melded perfectly with the slight tang from the yuzu. It was delectably refreshing and honestly I've never had a pasta dish quite like it. (And I've had my fair share of pasta mind you.)

Next time, I'll make sure to double the portion. Aww yiss.

Dayum, missing these Prawn Toasties from the one and only @rawkitchenbar !

Toasted bread topped with homemade prawn paste, a generous topping of roe and a side of ginger lime dressing - the only crime here is that there's only two pieces! Deliciously crispy with a slight tang from the ginger lime dressing, oh it was a good starter for sure.

More sir, can I have some more?

Tipsy Flamingo, a poolside themed bar and restaurant, opened its doors to much hype a couple weeks ago! It is a collaborative effort between the Tipsy Collective and celebrity couple Pierre Png & Andrea De Cruz and was immediately added on my list of places to try!

I managed to snag a reservation on a Sunday night and got to try some of their new dishes that were specially curated with the beach club vibe in mind - this included their Abalone Pasta with kawa ebi, XO butter and kombu.

This was perhaps the highlight dish of the night for me - with incredible bursts of umami flavour with tender New Zealand abalone slices, crunchy ebi and topped with a generous serving of caviar. Dang, if only it didn't cost such a pretty penny - I'll have this everyday!

I loved the aesthetics of the place as well with sort of a Miami beach club feel to it - with cabanas, an actual tiled pool section and a mix of teal and pink all over. (I was told that the pool area was originally concepted to be actually filled with water and it's supposed to be an actual pool to boot!)

It was almost a month long wait before I managed to get my hands on these babies from none other than @burntends.bakery.sg ! I just knew I had to order two boxes even though I have not even tried them - especially considering the limited open slots that stretched to a month later!

The flavours of the assorted doughnuts box are:
â—¾Vanilla Cream
â—¾Nutella
â—¾Pandan
â—¾Milo Dinosaur (Aug/Sept Special)
â—¾Lemon Meringue

Now these were just so good, it was hard to stop at just one. Soft, fluffy and filled to the T with delectable cream and fillings - dang I'm already thinking of getting more. While their flavours aren't the whacky compared to other bombolini stores - they're still really good.

My favourite has to be Pandan - topped coconut glaze, desiccated coconut and filled with a kaya-like pandan cream. Oh lawd. Their Lemon Meringue came a close second which is a no-brainer as it's one of my all-time favourite flavours.

They have since announced that they're moving to a bigger location and I'm definitely looking forward to see what else Burnt Ends Bakery will have in store!

Now if only I could get a reservation for the coveted restaurant that is @burntends.sg itself!

I came across the gorgeous dessert works of art from @kura.singapore while exploring the Herencia a while ago. Tucked away in a little corner of lifestyle store - Crane Living, my gaze was instantly drawn to the sweet treats that were displayed.

I wanted to try almost everything from Kura, but alas I told myself to chill and get their gift box instead - which included:

â—¾ Strawberry Cheese
Having seen the block of cheese dessert trend a while ago, I knew I just had to try it. A subtle blend of strawberry guava compote and cream cheese mousse - this block of cheese would even satisfy both Tom and Jerry.

â—¾La Vie En Rose
The second dessert that caught my eye and that was included in the box was their La Vie En Rose. Damn, that's one pretty looking thing and it was devastating to have to destroy it. Who knew a rose could be comprised of sea salt dark chocolate and milk chocolate.

â—¾Key Lime Tart
I absolutely love the combination of sweet and sour - lemon meringue being one of my favourite flavours. The Key Lime Tart was pretty much the little brother of Lemon Meringue but was just as good and almost identical in flavour profiles.

â—¾Mango Citrus
The most delicate dessert of the box is their Mango Citrus. Delicious mousse with fresh mango, grapefruit and lime zest - it was as refreshing as summer.

Well, now I know The Herencia could house such a hidden gem of a patisserie and I'll definitely love to try more from Kura if I'm ever in the area again.

Oof, the bombolini trend seem to have exploded recently haven't they. Well, @parkbenchdeli have got you covered with their creme brulee take on the creamy doughnut dessert.

Filled to the brim and oozing vanilla custard, together with torched crackling sugar on top, damn this brought me to Heaven and I didn't want to come back. One of the best bombolinis I've ever had for reals - the only thing that hurt more than taking the last bite would be the 8 dollah price tag. Park Bench, I'll see you soon again.
