One of the most affordable and hygienic hawker places I know, Chicago Nasi Lemak is my all time favorite.
They serve the green Pandan rice with a selection of assorted sides. I always choose the fried chicken and the egg with vegies topped with their amazing chicken curry. For 2 meat, egg and 1 veg is $3.50. The food is heavenly and comforting with the price being just right.
Pro Tip: Go early as they sell out most of the items by 2pm.
I had very high hopes for the freshly made noodles but overall was a disappointment. The noodles were cooked a tad too much and the sauce was lacking the hearty flavor I was expecting.
The sauce had a very vegetable stew taste to it though it had meat inside. Overall a ok dish for the price.
This place was on my wishlist for quite sometime and I am so glad I could finally come and taste their ice-cream combo of milk and cheese ice-cream. To be honest its very hard to describe how good the ice-cream was but all I can say its my new favorite ice-cream place and will surely win your heart if you love creamy, smooth milk and cheese ice-cream full of flavor.
The cheese flavor was not at all over powering and went beautifully with the milk ice-cream which was not overly sweet to create one of a kind ice-cream experience.
Pro Tip: DO NOT SHARE. :)
Nothing much to say other than a really good warm cup of hot chocolate
Having a good experience with wimbly lu before at their other restaurant, I went into the newly opened restaurant at tyrwhitt road with high expectations and boy they didnt let me down. Ordered half portion of their breakfast waffle which came with scrambled eggs made to perfection, one piece of sausage, roasted tomato and crispy bacon. Topped with their maple sauce and it was a match made in heaven. It was just delicious.
Also ordered their classic hot chocolate which complimented the rainy cool weather outside. Perfect meal on a Sunday morning.
Pro Tip: Some of their dishes have half portion so if you are confused of which one to order then let me tell u - Half Portion: 1 Person and Full Portion: Share.
All I can say about this dish is if you love meat like me and have the money to spend then this dish is to order. All the meat was flavorful and was to die for. The dish contains 3 types of lamb and 3 types of chicken grilled to perfection. Definitely you will need a group of friends to finish this.
Protip: Friday nights they have a belly dancer which will add to your experience of persian cuisine.
Being there for the first time I was really impressed by the ambience. Food came quick which was a plus. We order the Biriyani rice which was nice and went really well with the mutton sukha and the kerala fish curry (which was one of my favorite dishes). Overall really nice indian food.
Protip: Please make reservation as the place gets crowded and try the fish head curry as well.
Dont judge the food by how small the place is. The beef ricebowl (sh-nack don) had generous portions of pepper beef which was full of flavour and punch. Along with the sticky rice and the onsen egg, it was a match made in heaven.
Protip: The place is super small so its better to takeaway and dont forget their Thai coconut water which goes well with the ricebowl.
For the BESTEST (I think for me) chicken rice in Singapore head to Golden Mile food center and try the Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice. You have to try it to believe it.
Pro Tip: Queue usually is really long so chope seat first and wait in the queue. Average waiting time about 15-20mins. So you can imagine how good it is.
The dish was so good with the crispy pork skin that my fiancé forget for a sec that I proposed to her an hour ago.
Overall great ambience for a romantic dinner, great service and amazing food.
Pro Tip: If you are taking your special someone along be sure to ask for a table near the glass windows overlooking marina bay for that added romance to your dinner.
One of the best brunch places I have been to Spruce has always lived up to its name. Every single thing on this place lived upto that standard and it was delicious. There are few variations of the same brekky so make sure to check them out before ordering.
Pro Tip: They give proseco by the glass for $9 on Sundays for brunch.
Spruce has always lives upto my expectations and this time it was no different. To satisfy my cravings for something deep fried I went for their chicken schnitzel. Boy oh boy I never imagined it to be this big. It was cruncy outside and the inside juicy moist chicken. The herbal sauce added more flavour to this dish.
Pro tip: This dish is really big so can be easily shared with your someone and would be great over beer.
