Stepping in this restaurant you soon realize that’s it’s a class apart from most eateries, starting with the staff, ambience and above all the food.
Gordon Ramsay, the name says it all.
Succulent Baked Trout, with prawn, green asparagus, king oyster mushrooms, samphire with garlic velouté at $38 it was so worth every penny
And the dessert Apple and Blue berry crumble ($18) served with vanilla custard was an absolute bite of heaven with each mouthful
This place is a newly opened outlet, it is famous for the Fish Head curry, however this time we decided to opt for a fusion of dishes from the menu.
From Northern Indian Butter Chicken to Southern Indian Mysore Mutton,Apolo chicken Masala and Fish Sambal. Had it with an assortment of Plain Naans, Butter Naana and lastly some white steam rice ( which comes with two servings of vegetables)
I must say that most of the food has a very high spice level( I don’t mean 🌶Spice , but a blend of spices) If you are planning on trying Indian food for the first time then my advice to you is to check with the staff, for dishes that are mild , you would also want to pair the food with steam rice instead of the usual biryani rice, as steam rice tends to bring out the flavors of the food...
If you are the foodie, who had already eaten Indian food, then go ahead and feast on.....
As for me , I love spicy food but the level of spice blend in this afternoons food selection was a bit overpowering ....
I still love their food though 😋
Seating is spacious.
Conveniently located in Parkway parade Mall.
Efficient and friendly staff
Butter Chicken $14
Apolo Chic Masala $6
Fish Sambal $7
Mutton Mysore $13
Butter Naan $4 each
Plain Naan $3 each
Value Breakfast set.
Choice of any Banh Mi and a coffee, tea or bottled water at $5:90 ( A very good deal )
You can also opt for any Pho @ $6:90( not applicable for the wagyu beef pho)
I had the Lemongrass Chicken, Banh Mi filled with the Toasted Baguette, veggies , mayonnaise and egg with a black coffee( not in pic)
The crispness of the bread was just right, not overly toasted. I would have preferred a more flavorful punch in every bite, but the chicken lacked the lemongrass flavors but it wasn’t an issue as you have a lot of sauce options available on each table.
The queues are not too long for breakfast but be prepared to wait a while before you are seated for lunch as it’s quite busy.
This place has by far the most juiciest curry puff ever. The crispy outer layers and the juicy potato, chicken and egg filling really come together and pack a punch with each bite. At $1:70 the curry puff is seriously a very good bite , too bad I couldn’t try their range of curry puffs ( custard, durian, sardine and otah) as I never fail to order the Nasi Lemak $5.
There is something uniquely different but tasty about their Nasi Lemak , the rice is absolutely light, fluffy and yet so full of flavor, that you can just eat it on its own. (I am always tempted to ask for more, let me know if you feel the same too)
As for the couple serving you, one look and you can tell, they are absolutely in love with what they do.
Such vibrant atmosphere. Food was delicious, the mixed grilled platter at $ 38:90 ( for 2pax) was worth every$ with a combination of very succulent Lamb Koftas, Lahem Mashwi, Chicken Koftas, Shish Tawouk along with some very fragrant rice, grilled onion, chillies and sauces .
We also had Chicken Moussaka $17:90 served with bread, Margarita Pizza $18:50( for my 7yr old) and Dessert, Rice Pudding $7:50 ( my boy loved it and came as a big surprise to us as he never has any other dessert apart from chocolate cakes and ice creams)
I must say this place gets a big thumbs for not only their food, but also for their staff. Apart from being cheerful, prompt and courteous they attended to every query my son had prior dining in. Thank you for making our dining experience so wonderful. You guys have most certainly made a lasting impression.
Chicken Pie $5.20 / Hot Green Tea $ 4:50
Chicken pie was appetizing to look at, but lacked flavors. The puff pastry was crisp, however the chicken in the filling was bland and dry.
Ambience and drinks as always gets thumbs up 👍👍
Not the best Bangers & Mash, I’ve had better and at $18:90( plus taxes ) for a portion, I would say it is pretty average and doesn’t give you that satisfaction and value for your $$
Pair it with service staff ( dine in) who would not acknowledge you trying to get your attention and walk past , serve you dessert without clearing your main. Forget to serve you a new set of cutlery with dessert or water.
They lacked professionalism as they were either new or couldn’t care.
I guess I will stick to just having their amazing dessert, coffee and sandwiches. That’s something I always indulge in, whenever I am shopping at Ngee Ann City.
I must add , the charming lady at the bakery counter was the only staff, who greeted us with her cheerful smile and acknowledged our presence as we browsed through the dessert, prior to dining in .
If you are looking for a casual place to chill out in the neighborhood with friends or a dinner date, this is the place.
Frequented this place at least 5-6 time in the past 4 weeks, just love sitting outdoors as I enjoy the lovely cross winds ( they also have a spacious indoor option where you can enjoy a game of darts)
As for food, they have an array of cuisines to choose from. Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Asian, Italian and a good Western Breakfast too.
I keep coming back for this Thai style Sea-bass Steamed in an aromatic , spicy and zesty sauce. You will want to pair it with nothing else but just some simple steamed rice.
At $25 for a decent sized fish. It is a good value for your $$
Plus no restaurant can you good without a set of hardworking, efficient and friendly staff . The staff at this place have it all.
Han’s a name quite familiar in Singapore for casual dining. I keep coming back to Han’s for their Chicken Pies. Firstly, I love the crispiness of the puff pastry as it’s not too oily . The filling is so flavorful, love the way these ingredients come together ( chicken, potatoes and carrots) , not forgetting it’s a generous portion too.
Secondly it’s the big Value for your $$ at $2.50 I must say that is quite good for the price you pay.
