Had an omakase lunch set and it was such a well curated, enlightening experience for the senses.

They provided a unique offering of assorted dishes made with their own touches and housemade sauces.

Here are the list of items we had and my personal rating of them:

1. Salad w dried shrimps - tad bit salty but I like the combination
2. Chawanmushi 🌟🌟🌟
- secret is in the mountain pepper that elevates the simple dish with a zesty, fresh taste
3. Cold noodles with tomato base
The texture of the noodles was so chewy, I really liked it
4. Knifejaw fish w vinegar rice sushi
- ishigakidai, taste was light and subtle, but nothing like we've ever tasted. Coupled with the light salt and vinegar, it was a delight
5. Marinated tuna 🌟🌟🌟
- creamy, refreshing w a dash of yuzu
6. Amberjack w citrus pepper
- delayed fishy aftertaste, complemented well w the citrus
7. Spanish mackerel aging more than 12 days
- subtle taste that when combined w wasabi, did not really have a strong taste
8. Fatty tuna 🌟🌟🌟
- so tender and bursting w flavor, melt in your mouth. The best fatty tuna sushi you could probably find in Singapore
9. Uni sushi
- so flavorful and delicate in balance
10. Slow cooked Scallop
- it enhances the yuzu flavor but this was my least favorite sushi
11. Minced fatty tuna w radished pickles 🌟🌟🌟
- soooo gooood, again the combination was perfect
12. Tamago
So soft and light, their homemade tamago tasted like a light cake
13. Warabimochi and brown sugar sauce for dessert 🌟🌟🌟
Hands-down the softest, most exquisitely delicate Warabimochi. The mochi beats Kamakura in terms of texture, though I prefer Kamakura's slightly roasted / bitter sauce over their brown sugar sauce.

Great dinner or supper place in the vicinity, serving a wide variety of tasty dishes with hearty sweet potato porridge. Recommend the beancurd tofu hotplate and fried pork!

Quality Indo food at affordable prices - Main highlights were the Bebek Goreng and Oxtail Soup. They also have 5 different chilli sauces!

Had our Anniversary lunch here not just for the occasional classy atmosphere but standout dishes.

Noteworthy mentions:
Smoked asparagus 🌟🌟🌟
Close your eyes and imagine a smoky forest in your mouth

Heirloom Tomatoes
Tomatoes can taste this good!? πŸ…

Chicken leg πŸ₯΅
Tender is the flesh, generous is the meat πŸ–

Food was hearty, fresh, full of flavor, especially the har cheong kai! Honestly the best har cheong kai I've tasted in SG so far. The ngoh hiang tasting platter was very fresh and of great quality, and prawn soup was flavourful! I don't usually eat yellow noodles cos of the alkaline flavor, but I found this surprisingly tasty.

Service was also commendable despite the busy crowd!

Firstly, such amazing service from the staff as they took their time to recommend their best soups and health benefits.

1. Classic turtle soup was rich and flavorful, with the nutritious herbs complementing the meat and the taste was wholesome and hearty

2. Surprisingly their cordyceps chicken herbal soup was bursting with flavor and richness as well, and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

3. Their prawn rolls stood out for the crispy texture on the outside and being chewy, soft inside. Dipping it in the sesame sweet honey dip was the perfect touch.

Get the yam rice, delicious eating it with the soup. Do dip the meat in their chili sauce as the tanginess goes well with it.

Had the wagyu burger with perfect medium rare doneness, with fries and fried brussels sprouts that were crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside! The duck confit was also delicious.

Burrata was fresh and complemented well with the sourness of the zucchini and green apple. Their steak here was prepared well. Their medium rare doneness was just perfect, and I especially enjoyed their undercuts. The crunchy texture of the radish paired well with the steak.

Serving up fresh, healthy yoghurt drinks that were not too sweet, really recommend their mango purple rice yoghurt drink!!

From crunchy and fluffy sourdough bread, to melt in your mouth Denver and Onglet steaks πŸ₯©, we understood why their steaks have been touted as one of the best β™₯

Step through the doorway of this unassuming bar and be transported to Japan, with a dizzying array of sake bottles atop their shelves and countertops, indicative of the choices they have. Pair their sake with any of their unique cuisines (smaller sized taster treats and meats) for the most authentic, intense flavours.

The funky, colorful retro exterior reflects the soul of the food served here - the 3 eggs soup reminded me of my Grandma's cooking but had a unique taste to it while the angus beef with foie gras was absolutely decadent! Their orh ni was oh-so delightful and transported me back to the good ole days πŸ˜‹
