You dont get good tuna sashimi in singapore very often. The otoro and chutoro offerings here are excellent! And the uni, ooooh super creamy. Prices here are not cheap, but really value for money i would say.

Flavourful ramen at a reasonable price($6.90). Good choice for lunch!

You know how some burgers sound great in principle but always end up terribly disappointing(looking at you, doubledown)? Not this. This is legit awesome stuff. Hoping they make it permanent on the menu!

Although more well known for their lobster nasi lemak(which is nice but a bit pricey for breakfast!), i found the huge sotong more impressive! It was really crispy on the outside, and not overly tough on the inside. Prawns were large and fresh too. The queue is not as long as it used to be, so worth a try if around the area!

For coffeeshop standards, this place is definitely above average. The har kow in particular was plump with crunchy prawns, and siew mai, fried prawn dumplings etc all had prawns in them. (Most coffeeshops' fried prawn dumpling with only contains fish paste). If you compare it with restaurants, the cheong fun was abit too thick though, and the char siew bao a tad dry. But definitely value for money and a good place to go when the craving comes.

Althought not as commonly found as its tonkotsu relative, I prefer the chicken based broth which is not as jelat but still really flavourful with a rich mouthfeel. Thanks to the new downtown line, liang court is super accessible now!

Soba was nice, tempura was crisp although the batter on the prawn was a bit thick. For 8 bucks, its worth a try!

A visually interesting dish, although the blackness doesnt elevate the taste in any way and the salted egg powder was relatively tasteless. However, tempura was hot and crispy, even more so than those at popular joints. The rice was drizzled with sauce so it wasnt dry, and the onsen egg was 😍

The healthier choice theme seems prominent here, from the drinks(a little low on sugar) to the rice(more salt pls?). Thankfully the tasty sides helped to make up for it, so it was still a good meal overall. Doesnt hurt that its so pretty!

The aji special maki(13.90) came slathered in a poopy looking mess of strangely bitter and unidentifiable sauce. Never knew aburi salmon sushi could go wrong, but i guess you learn something new everyday.

For $13, you get drinks and a salad with a huge serving so its undoubtedly good value. Unfortunately the batter was too thick for some items and it got really soggy at the end. plus the huge piece of chicken breast was practically tasteless. Save your calories.

Comparing value, variety and quality, i daresay this is the best tendon i've tried so far in sg. Ask for separate sauce if worried about sogginess.
