This piece of deceivingly plain salt-water eel was simmered in a fragrant, clear broth until cooked. It was then topped onto freshly hand-moulded Japanese sushi rice and served warm.
Deliciously soft to the bite without a tinge of fishy taste like that of Unagi, the Anago is our new love and we miss it for sure!

At Ashino, everything is as authentic as it gets in Japan. Fresh supplies including water and fruits are imported regularly. Thanks to Aurelia and SM for lifting our tastebuds to extravaganza heaven!

The familiar "chaotah" bee hoon was given a touch of elegance with the abundance of shredded duck meat stir-fried to smokey fragrance. Even though very full, we loved this to bits!

Generously laced with oatmeal and the distinct taste of fried egg white, this will be the highlight at Peach Blossoms @marinamandarinsg in the coming month.

We loved that the meaty chunk of lobster meat gave a sweet, flavourful and firm bite. It was so well fried. What delighted us further was the personal demo from Captain showing us how he removed the shell from the pincer, exposing the entire pincer meat. We only needed to bite that off then lick our fingers after that ✌

This is just nice, with thick and savoury gravy but without the "lamb smell". Too bad that there are so many good food here at the buffet line. Otherwise I can just eat this with a big serving of gravy-drowned fragrant white rice.
