Banana cream puff (petit four lunch) Yeah this was pretty good, the banana cream was strong Overall, some dishes were good but nothing was great, not very innovative nor was it very Korean even and way too overpriced for the quality. Yes I know they have good reviews but that's before they got their first star and the prices skyrocketed

Corn (second dessert, lunch) Corn crisps w corn cream was alright, the crisp lingers in your mouth too long The main dessert was corn ice cream, caramel, popcorn which was light, raw Hokkaido white corn and corn custard. White corn was juicy and overall it was pleasant

Mitsubishi sushi Bar Duxton Road You can assess the quality of sushi by the sliced ginger they serve as well. The ginger is rubbery and rough. Waitress serving food is also preparing the sliced fish. The waitress torched the fish, picks up the sushi pieces with the unwashed hands! Tried their omakase and my view is no point having quality of quality is compromised. I wouldn’t come back for sure.

Part 3/3 - Dragon Maki The 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶 ($26), stuffed with generous portions of soft shell crab and crispy crab stick, was excellent as well.

Part 2/3 - Wagyu Steak Set The 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝘁 ($38) was sublime as well. Amazingly tender and juicy, pairing it with the crunchy fried garlic was the epitome of enjoyment. Both sets came with sashimi, salad and Chawanmushi. I was highly impressed with the sweet and briny clam miso soup, which same with the sushi set.

Hot Chocolate [$6] Wanted to get a cup of hot drink after our dinner and found ourselves at Flagwhite! My friend went with the matcha latte that uses powder from Matchaya, while I got myself a hot chocolate that uses chocolates from Fossa. They have it in 70% and 80% chocolate, and I ordered the latter on recommendation by the staff. Enjoyed the fragrant bittersweet notes!

Honey Mustard Pork Ribs Was expecting soft tender ribs but turns out the ribs were tough. The honey mustard sauce was good but wasn’t enough to save this dish. The other dishes we ordered were good. Will be giving this dish a miss then next time when we are there.

Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl Grilled teriyaki salmon, quinoa, Japanese rice, black rice, spinach, corn, mushroom, onsen egg, blistered tomato, zucchini pickle, edamame, sautéed carrots I was surprised at the generous portion of quinoa and rice with a variety of colourful ingredients. The slab of salmon was done perfectly with crispy skin and flesh without being too dry lightly drizzled with teriyaki sauce and sprinkles of sesame seed 》$18.50

Bad service if you get any!! It is one of the worse places for just coffee! No service and if at all bad. Staff came in and out as waiting for a table. When being served by one, whom walked away to say he will get us the table and he never came back. It’s a madhouse. Had to also wait for clean cups for water. Took over 10 mins to get attention of staff. Would not recommend it. Better places elsewhere.

Creamier Had the Waffles with Matcha & Strawberry. Just like the Toa Payoh Outlet, it is still delicious but seems to have lesser variety to choose from. I would also say they could improve on by providing bigger plate if people wish to deconstruct the Waffles to eat much easier and providing bigger utensils.

Babyccino 🥛Babyccino ($4++) The cheapest drink available on the menu and my friend got it because getting a drink was compulsory… it’s literally just foamed milk in a shot glass. Cute but insanely overpriced😩

Matcha & Sea Salt Chocolate 🍵 Matcha ($7.50++) This is really good, strong matcha taste and a fragrant milkiness to it! Not too sweet either. However the price is really steep. 🍫 Sea Salt Chocolate ($7.50++) When they name this sea salt chocolate, they mean it. Its like a chocolate drink but its liberally salted, not too salty but it may be a little acquired for some.

Waffles with Strawberry Compote, Vanilla Ice Cream & Granola 🧇 Waffles with Strawberry Compote, Vanilla Ice Cream & Granola ($15.90++) The waffle was pretty soft and fluffy, and was well complemented by the tart strawberry compote and sweet vanilla. I really liked the crunchy granola bits too! A pretty solid waffle and its quite decently priced compared to their other menu items.

Curried mentaiko egg mayo - Curried egg salad topped with generous mentaiko mayo, tonkatsu sauce, furikake and tempura crumbs, providing a medley of textures and spiced umami flavours that went well together! - Sourdough was well-toasted and didn’t turn soggy 🍞 - Quite rich, would recommend to share 🤭 [7.5/10]

Sichuan mala tater tots - Crispy but sichuan seasoning and green pepper oil were too overwhelming for me, to be fair I’m not a mala fan though 🫣 - Mala mayo on the side gave a stronger numbing sensation than spiciness that I would’ve otherwise preferred. - A unique twist but I personally would stick to the usual truffle option. [6/10]

Grilled cheese - Mix of cheddar, mozzarella and blue cheese mayo which was very savoury yet not pungent, pairing well with the tangy tomato dip 🧀 - Sourdough had a perfectly crispy exterior! [8/10]

Most Instagrammable Cafe The term "Instagrammable Cafe" almost feels like a backhanded compliment, where it may be implied that the food quality can't match up to its aesthetics. Cafe De Nicole's Flower managed to dispel any of that notion by serving pretty food that taste pretty decent in a pretty setting. The Souffle Pancake was egg-cellent. It was eggy and fluffy and in my opinion one of the best souffle pancake around! They also serve an interesting menu of drinks, including the Uji Matcha and Sweet Potato Latte which i thought was pretty nice. The soy milk really brought the best out of the sweet potato and bitter matcha notes. For the others, i would rate the smoked salmon croissant as above average and the tart as below average. The presentation was also on point. By adding fresh or dried flowers, it really elevated the overall aesthetics. Overall🥚: 8/10 🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳 Follow on IG: @eatingwithegg

Caramelised Onions & Cheese Toastie Crisp and tangy croissant cradling a molten mix of cheese and golden, slow-cooked onions. The sweetness of the onions plays beautifully against the savoury richness and every bite feels like a warm blanket on a cool day.

Torta della nonna - Lots of pine nuts on top and within! - Taste was light with a prominent vanilla bean flavour, reminding me of a nougat which I enjoyed though it became a little one-dimensional after awhile. - Ricotta provided a mild milkiness, filling had a densely thick texture. - Crust was buttery sweet with a crumbly, biscuit-like bite similar to shortbread 🥧
