Fresh sushi, but one set meal definitely ain't enough for this belly🐷

No, it's not a baby Ong haha. It is actually synonymous for hanger steak which is a cut "prized for its flavour" (thanks wiki). Very tasty⭐️

Perfectly toasted brioche buns with a neat layer of melted cheese sandwich the flavourful pork and lightly soured coleslaw. My favourite of the lot!

At 7$ a pop, you'd expect a lot from this. And don't worry, it doesn't disappoint. Each bite is packed with an almost umami beefy flavour that is balanced out very nicely with the pickles.

Wagyu beef with an egg buried in the rice. Very tasty but also very stingy.

For a lap cheong lover like me, this really pleased my palate. The cold noodles are coated with just enough lap cheong oil so that it isn't jelat, and the prawns are turgid and crunchy. They could do with a more generous serving though...

Best bingsu in Singapore in my opinion. And this is speaking from someone who went to Seoul and ate a bingsu (or two) almost Everyday for two weeks. So I think I can safely say I'm quite a bingsu connoisseur 😉 what makes this the closest to Korea's Sulbing is the consistency and texture of their shaved ice. Neither is it supposed to taste icy like our local ice kachang, nor anything like the Taiwanese shaved ice. However, their red bean paste is a little too sweet for my liking. For a truly authentic bingsu experience, get the injeolmi version which is actually a bean powder (not peanut powder as many think!)

Have this after some Korean fried chicken next door and you don't have to fly to Seoul! Save money! LOL

Slightly is an understatement. These wings made our lips go numb. Ohhh the burn! But they were so addictive we couldn't stop ourselves. I have a feeling another part of my body isn't going to thank me later though...... Anyway, another must try is their seafood and spring onion pancake, the best I've had in Singapore!

Give it to them for coming up with this take on the old Favourite. But old favourites are favourites for a reason. Don't fix what's not broken..old is gold...Yada yada. The baked whole Granny Smith was undercooked (it took much force with my knife to cut it up), and because it's a whole apple, there's less surface area for the delicious cinnamony sugary goodness to infuse into the fruit, leaving the inner parts bland. The vanilla ice cream was quality though, with real vanilla specks. With the yogurt sauce, I felt the individual components of this dessert didn't come together well.

It is what it is. Fried chicken. And corn bread. Not quite sure what condiment that is- mayo? Sour cream? Didn't taste like much to be honest. The chicken was tender and seasoned enough, but the corn bread doesn't come close to Kenny Roger's.

The hunt for an authentic bowl of chendol on Labour Day took longer than expected. First stop was Dove desserts but sadly it was closed. And knowing our luck with hawker stalls, we were all ready to settle for nearby Creamier. But lo and behold it was open! Beautiful pale hues of Pandan green buried under a dome of shaved ice, none of those radioactive green worms we are so used to. They also run a cheng tng stall in the same hawker centre, but HS said it doesn't beat his favourite Adam one. Nothing's better than any icy dessert in our balmy weather☺️
