This cosy Taiwanese shop was buzzing on a Monday night! Cute that the interior mimics JiuFen Old Street in Taiwan – the counter is set up replicating stalls serving street food. Was drawn to the pork chop rice and it did not disappoint! Super affordable for a hearty portion, and didn’t expect the additional minced pork served too. Simple and delicious.

Greedy me strikes again! Can’t come to a Penang shop and not have CKT. Flavours remind me of what you’ll find in Penang but with less juicy prawns. Can’t complain too much as we still whacked the whole thing.

Greedy me decided that we needed an extra dish, so we got this! So simple yet so satisfying. Appreciated that the chilli wasn’t so spicy, but most importantly love how delicious the sauces are. Best part are the crunchy onions on top!

Such an unassuming spot in Kepong to have solid Penang hawker grub. They’re located along a main road so keep your eyes out for the signboard! Fell in love with the broth at first sip – super creamy, sweet yet a little peppery. It’s good on its own but even better when you mix in the spicy sambal.

Real sexy layers in this Mille crepe. They recommended the tiramisu – this is sans alcohol. Not-too-sweet cake with well-balanced flavours. After taking a bite of this and having a sip of coffee, the aftertaste reminds me of kopiko lol

Not many places serve this white chocolate variant and happy to find it here. It’s rather sweet on its own so definitely best had in a mocha – the acidic espresso helps balance the flavours. It’s a nice drink to have when you’re craving sugar.

Find good coffee and cakes at this cosy spot! Got my usual and really liked the bold and fruity notes – best paired with the sweet crepe cakes.

Another decent burger but I personally feel not as memorable as the fried chicken one. Although this still comes with a very juicy chicken-pork patty. Love the runny egg on top – just pop the yolk with the burger bun and prepare for a messy meal.

This cosy little spot in Kepong serves tasty and affordable burgers. Was really craving for fried chicken so opted for this. The juicy chicken thigh is freshly fried which makes it such a delight to bite into – perfectly crispy skin and super moist meat. Nothing special about the fries.

Haven’t had a decent milk coffee in a while and this truly delivered. Boasting nutty and almost toffee-like flavours with each sip, and the flavours did not disappear despite the hefty amounts of ice. Got this at RM10 as it’s their opening promo price!

Falling so hard for this gorgeous new space in TTDI. If it looks familiar, it’s opened by the same folks that use to run X Coffee in Isetan Japan Store. Opted for a filter coffee and went with the fruity selection from India. Super light-bodied and so clean and smooth. Filter coffees aren’t the cheapest here but it’s so worth it especially to see then brew it using the gold dripper.

There are also a range of non-alcoholic coffee-based concoctions on the menu. Opted for this interesting one – it’s made with pink grapefruit, smoked herbs, honey and mango – and have to admit that it wasn’t too my liking. It’s just not my flavour preference as I found it a bit too smoky.
