A signature at this high-end Japanese restaurant, and a must-try if it’s your first time here. The platter sees a little bit of everything – tofu, raw tuna in soy, mini tempura, potato salad and fresh salmon maki rolls. It’s quite filling too!

Rainy days call for soup, and the house-favourite fish ball soup did not disappoint. A bit salty too, but the soup is super flavourful from the onions, garlic and spring onions. Quite generous with the fish balls and fish paste too.

Deep-fried kailan is served on top of more kailan – liked this a lot! Cooked in your usual anchovy and garlic sauce.

Tho a bit salty this chicken dish is call kinds of yummy. Sauce was thick, boasting sweet and spicy flavours – perfect for pouring all over your white rice. They also have this in medium and large options.

Stuck to some favourites for our other orders and all did not disappoint! Briyani was very flavourful and a bit spicier than I remembered. Palak paneer is an absolute no-fail – love how creamy and sweet the spinach curry is. Order the sweet lassi to help tone the heat down!

Opted for something different here – had to Google to figure out what this is – and very happy with this decision! Tender chicken is coated in a spicy, almost tomato-based like sauce loaded with spices and peas.

I preferred this to the laksa – flavours a lot lighter. Would definitely come back for this again.

This new neighbourhood hood joint in DJ serves simple and tasty east Malaysian delights. Went for the signature Sarawak laksa and tho not as punchy as others out there, it’s still done well.

Really digging this flavour! Tastes exactly like how it’s supposed to, tho a little sweet for me. Love the texture as well – not super creamy but a lot more airy and fluffy.

Word is the team here also runs The Lolla Co that’s known for their sandwiches, so I had to try one. Satisfying but the flavours didn’t sit well with me – it’s definitely a preference thing on my end. They do have other sarnies with meatier options (they serve pork!) so I definitely have to come back to give those a try.

Great meat-free alternative made with top ingredients – chickpeas, pumpkin, quinoa and more. Everything was seasoned perfectly, especially the beetroot hummus and green tahini sauce. Only grip is that it’s rather small for the price you’re paying.

Really enjoyed this ice black – fruity with a slight acidic punch. This newbie is in Seventeen Mall and it’s perfect for lazy brunches.
