The salmon miso soup was incredibly tasty so I had seconds. Definitely something to try if you're in the CBD. [ ]

It's been more than twenty years now and they are a firm favourite - not just cause they do an amazing carrot cake (my favourite!), crispy and super delicious, but because they're like family. It was so nice to finally meet their daughter last night (spitting image of her mum) ❤️ thank you. - 啊敏

Natives. New beginnings. A few of my favourite things. 🤓

But this is what I'm thinking about here in London - #shiok peranakan food from @truebluecuisine. Thank you @jiajunatplay for taking BTS photos for @estherquek's shoot! #powertoprogress

Totally jetlagged and missing local food so this picture of #horfun from #ghimmohmarket will have to do. Full of #wokhei too! 😩😩

For those who can't decide which one whets their appetite more - you can have your (carrot) cake and eat it. Crispy, and chock full of flavour, it makes for an extremely satisfying meal.

Taste of explosion really - packed with turnip, egg, crispy bits, bean sprouts and a crazy good chilli paste. Amazing.

One of my fave meals ever. I've always been a fan of the bcm and the combination of that with meat-off-the-bone herbal chicken was great.

Highly recommended by friends so decided to check it out. Super satisfying breakfast - love the noodles!

Yet another nostalgic post! I think I’m definitely a creature of habit. I’ve been eating at Waffletown since I was 3 apples tall. I discovered this grilled sambal dory fillet about 8 years ago and it’s been my regular order now. Some days I eat it with buttered rice, other days I have it with their super tasty mashed potatoes. Can’t explain this strange combination but it works. I end up mopping up the plate, albeit a bit embarrassingly. Their fried chicken - also ace and their Super Value Meals (crispy chicken cutlet, buttered rice and a fried egg) are exactly that — really worth their price and a guaranteed tummy pleaser all round. If you’re ever in the Bukit Timah area, swing by Balmoral Plaza and check this out!

I’ve been eating at Prince since I was a kid. My grandparents and I would enjoy their incredibly-priced $6 student set lunches (but this was also 25+ years ago now) and I’ve always had the same order — beef horfun extra gravy. And till today, Uncle Jimmy remembers me and my order. Visited Prince yesterday and he told me that business has definitely suffered and some days they go home earlier because there aren’t enough people dining in :( please go if you are looking for comfort Hainanese food, or an excellent beef horfun with wokhei. SHOW SOME LOVE, PEOPLE! ♥️
