Head down to under-the-radar spot in the basement of Far East Plaza the next time you're out for that post-lunch coffee break. Beans here are roasted by Compound Coffee Co. (the same guy who used to run the show at now-defunct VXX!), so you can count on an ultra smooth medium-bodied drink. As a bonus, $1 from every cup of coffee goes to charity.

Tucked away in Queenstown, this small but quality roastery doles out some of the best cuppas around the island with a side of knowledge. Run by second generation roasters with heart for the trade, Tiong Hoe calls out to those equally passionate about drinking it. Come on Sundays, when they feature a single origin brew of the week. If not, order the Latte ($4.50) β delicious and served in quaint ceramics.

Fairly new to the scene, this micro-roastery raises the game in the East with stellar cuppas. The Vanta house blend featuring 50% Brazilian and 50% Columbian beans is smooth and robust, making for delicious coffees whether you're having it black, white or even cold-brewed. Backed against the wall, the spaced-out seats are great for catching up with a close friend.

Dishing up good coffee, cosy ambience and friendly service, this Lavender Street newbie checks all the right boxes. There's no rush here β the bar does the concept of slow coffee justice with relaxed vibes and a small menu of just five blends on rotation. Get them to recommend a Filter (from $6), or order the White ($4.50) for a small, creamy dose. They all come in incredibly sultry, nice-to-hold cups.

Totally jetlagged and missing local food so this picture of #horfun from #ghimmohmarket will have to do. Full of #wokhei too! π©π©
Thank you @phonenomenon for the invite and I'll see you in London for coffee and curry puffs, Willin π #shiok
But this is what I'm thinking about here in London - #shiok peranakan food from @truebluecuisine. Thank you @jiajunatplay for taking BTS photos for @estherquek's shoot! #powertoprogress
So great to have KFC in a coffee shop! The chicken was so crispy and juicy, and not oily at all. They were quite generous with their honey butter powder, which surprisingly went really well with the fried chicken. The other flavours (spicy and soy) werenβt that great - the sauce was a little too wet for my liking and taste-wise, not as interesting as the honey butter. Quite cheap for KFC and definitely worth the price!
Enjoyed the verbatim version a lot because I'm a huge fan of chai and spices. The interpretatio version was a little too perfume-y for my liking but all in all a great evening with fine company π€ thank you @atlasbarsg for hosting and looking forward to future #JuniperSociety events. Lots of love to @jayjhutch for introducing this to me π
Know that going into Noodle Thai-Thai Kitchen means thereβs a possibility of you leaving with puffy lips, runny nose and a fully satisfied tummy. Located a few doors down from Mrs Pho on Beach Road, Noodle Thai-Thai Kitchen dishes out flavourful and authentic bowls of noodles. Their Spicy Thai Thai Soup Noodles ($6.90) is not to be reckoned with β its soup is cooked with a generous portion of fiery hot chili powder commonly used in Thailand. What makes this stall stand out from the rest is its abundance of ingredients, from crispy pork rinds to fishcakes and meatballs. If youβre not looking to sweat it out, opt for the superb Signature Crispy Pork Jade Noodle Dry ($6.90) instead β al dente thin green noodles served with tender, flavourful slices of pork, a wobbly egg and fried wonton. The sweet-tangy sauce served on the side is great for dipping your pork into! Pro tip: Swing by during lunch with your colleagues and have the set lunch (from $5.90) β it comes with a traditional Thai dessert and a drink!
Avg Price: $10 per person
