Osmanthus jelly with wolfberries coupled by a soufflé egg white ball stuffed with red bean paste. The jelly looks fanciful but taste pretty bland. The soufflé was impressive though. Fluffy texture and flavorful red bean paste produces some great tasting dynamics!

Part of a Chinese course dinner which costs about $200 per head. The skin is crispy like one would expect it to be. Thereafter, the meat of the poor bare pig is then diced and stir fried with some kinda pepper seasoning which tastes really good! Nvr knew sg actually has such a fine Chinese restaurant out there.

Three slices of French toast accompanied with 3 different kind of berries. Toast is fluffy and goes really well with the agave nectar drizzled around it. Can't really taste the diff between that and honey though. If you're looking for a berry gd start to your wkend, this French toast wouldn't disappoint you!

Traditional teochew Meepok ($3/$4/$5). Not sure how many styles of meepok there are but growing up as a Siglap kid, I used to think that Siglap has the best meepok in Sg (Ah Lim Meepok stall@Jln Tua Kong). Little did I know that long before Ah Lim was there, this was the original bomb. Originally situated at the former Siglap market, 132 meepok has moved a few times in Siglap area before finally settling down at its current premise in a humble coffeeshop at Marine Terrace (opp Ngee Ann Pri). The meepok chili is not for the chicken hearted. Chili infused with vinegar and sesame oil just tastes famazing! This style of meepok also comes with broiled prawns! Lastly the meepok noodles itself. I mean how can one claim to be the meepok king without having decent noodles? Let me tell you, fellow bro and sista burpplers... the meepok noodles is bloody Q like a trampoline!! Conclusion: Die Die Must Eat!

been wanting to have the brunch here since a long long time ago! Set contains the beef stew that is swimming in a hollowed out white toasted bread, grilled Italian sausage, reg greens and a side of scrambled eggs. The beef chunks were tender but stew was a tad bland though. Goes quite well with toast! Overall I think it's pretty good!

Had the customized "Pimp Your Breakfast" set, which has an array of selections for you to choose from. But 6 bucks for shredded chicken is kinda expensive I have to say. I think the quality of food here is not too bad but I wouldn't go all out of my way for this..

Pretty impressive fish & chip stall hidden at a corner coffeeshop in Toa Payoh. Serves only fish fillet with a choice of chips, greens or mash potatoes. Fish batter is crispy and tender and moist on the inside. Goes really well with the malt vinegar provided. Been awhile since I had good fish & chip. Highly recommended to those who wanna reminisce the taste of Britain!

Heard raving reviews about this place and was looking forward to it cox I've had a really awesome bowl of tendon back in Tokyo. But gotta say I was kinda disappointed. The pricing is attractive though. There's only 2 choices of tendon on the menu. The special one which is mixed tempura bowl containing shrimps, chicken long beans, baby corn, onsen egg and pumpkin. The other one was a vege tempura bowl. Batter wasn't really well made. The inside of my tempura was slightly soggy. The sweet sauce drizzled around it didn't taste too bad though. Whatever it is don't bring your date here unless you happen to be in the area. The queue and the standards here aren't enough to impressive her. At least mine wasn't 😅

Had the coast breakfast ($15). Not many choices on their menu. Coast and Company markets themselves as a pitstop cafe for bikers on the move. But most of the patrons seem to arrive there by car lol. Anw my platter contains slices of cured salmon, scrambled eggs, 2 slices of toast and a sausage. Overall it's still pretty hearty for a brunch. Location wise kinda ulu..but surprising there's actually a couple of other cafes and pastry shops strung along this row of shophouses

Amazing Iberico pork cheeks with shio (salt) flavored ramen (~$25 after tax). Personally I rarely eat ramen in Sg because none of them can rival the real deal anywhere in Japan. And don't you dare mention the names of Ajisen or Ramen Champion in my face. I won't even bother rinsing my mouth with those. Anw real Iberico pork cheeks which taste mf tender and almost always 100% of the time runny eggs to go along. Noodles are chewy enough, albeit quantity abit little. Soup is flavorful to my liking (I only like shio). Only con is that it's abit pricey for ramen. But what the hell..if I can get this standard as close to Japan, I will gladly pay for it!

One of my old time favorites beef hor fun ($6,$12,$18) when I was a kid. Back then the amount of beef was so overwhelming I can barely see the horfun. These days the amount is lesser but still plentiful for $6 I say. Horfun slightly charred which I kinda like. You can choose to have it dry or with gravy ( I prefer with gravy). The beef slices are still as tender as ever but they have this tenderizer taste to it. You will know what I'm saying if you're a seasoned beef lover. Overall I say it's worth a visit if you're in the area. I wouldn't travel all the way there and get myself frustrated over the parking. Moreover, there are no longer any "eye candies" stationed along the side alleys ;) #hawkerpedia

The Double Blessing($22 excl tax) aka 双拼 on the restaurant's menu is the absolute BOMB! Char siew and roast pork are both mf tender to the extend I was doubting if I'm actually eating pork! If this is the last meal I will have on my deathbed (touchwood) I really wouldn't mind! Lastly, pls make reservations to avoid waiting and don't come after 8pm for dinner. PS: they might run out of their signature dishes. I actually had the last order of char siew while the poor couple beside were scowling in discontent as I gave them the diao look
