Any talk of the best burger in Singapore is bound to bring up db Bistro Moderne. One look at the Original db Burger ($42) and you'll know they mean business. It's a 1.5-inch-thick sirloin patty filled with braised short ribs and foie gras, served on a Parmesan bun. One (hugeass and impossible) bite into the burger and you'll find that the patty is cooked just right, retaining its juices and texture while providing decadence in the form of premium ingedients. Such indulgence is befitting of the most expensive burger in town, save this for a special occasion with your loved ones!
Had Belgian waffles topped with delicious seasalt gula melaka ice cream along with chocolate honeycomb toppings -as recommended by the staff.
Also, it goes well Chamomile tea for the rainy Wednesday evening.

Back at one of my fave cafe at Holland Village, just realized I haven't been here since June. Noticed there's a new array of desserts, which I couldn't resist to order two cakes at one go. Featuring first, the Passion Fruit Opera. I choose this first, because I like green color and there seems to have some mint contents in the cake. A tad bit dry, was expecting it to be more moist and as a Mint lover, I would prefer the mint taste to be much stronger.
Roadhouse has a communal table just right for all of you to sit down to a fantastic burger. Don't leave without trying the Bacon Marinated burger, it's everything you'd want in a beautifully Josper-grilled wagyu burger. If you're dining with a bunch of big eaters, go for "The Terminator" challenge- finish a burger of 6 wagyu patties in 20 minutes and you'll get it for free!
A friendly and patient staff at Miyakori Cafe was very kind to take me through a detailed description of their coffee. He said that their medium roasted blend of beans are from El Salvador, Sumatra and Brazil. And regardless if it is made into a cappucino or latte, the nutty and chocolatey tasting coffee will leave a pleasantly sweet aftertaste. If you don't manage to grab enough, indulge in as much crayfish, scallops and fresh prawns as you can. The hot dishes of braised lamb/ duck/ dory fare better than the usual run-of-the-mill buffet selections at other places. Be sure to save space for their never-ending selection of desserts!
