Turmeric Latté Probably the spiciest turmeric latte I’ve been served. I added a shot of espresso(RM3) for the caffeine kick. RM13 per serving.

Sistem Buttermilk Asian fusion deep fried breaded chicken roulade stuffed with mushrooms and ham, served with ratatouille, sweet potato fries and creamy curried butter sauce. The chicken was pretty good but over seasoned. Love the eggplant ratatouille and comes it decent portion. RM29 per serving.

Vegan Burger It's my first time eating vegetarian burger! The burger patty is made of chick-pea which you can imagine the texture inside is soft and mushy despite the crust is slightly crispy. It's rather bland and half way through I feel a bit sick due to its flat flavour... But their sweet potato fries is worth mentioning, fried till crispy and not oily!

Chick-peas Offering Vegetarians would appreciate the Chick-peas Offering (RM26) 🍔 - featuring a vegetarian patty made from mashed potatoes, chickpeas and herbs, and served between two pandan buns spread with pesto aoili. We especially like the fried onion 🌰 marmalade that came with the patty, as well as the sweet potato fries. Grilled Chicken & Couscous (RM25) Marinated chicken breast, mint yoghurt and greek salad on couscous. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavour! Loved everything on this plate.

Coffee To Go Singapore’s coffee house - CCSH has popped up across the causeway, but with a space that is both aesthetically pleasing, and smelling. Coffee beans are being roasted daily, and you’d be able to get the usual suspects - Throwback and Nuts and Bolts, available both as beans to go or in the hopper for your daily cuppa. They also have a range of filter brew and daily brew that you can choose from and we were pleasantly surprised and happy with our choices. Didn’t get a chance to get brunch, but it seems like a hit among the locals, and tourists alike based on the crowd we saw on a Sunday morning.

For a Fantastic Mentai Rice Bowl Four years on and this casual Japanese eatery in Plaza Damas still rakes in the masses for their famed Mentai Rice (RM19). Look forward to thick slabs of tamago veiled in creamy flamed mentai, which Burppler Joey Tee dubs as "absolutely delicious and addictive". Favourite mentai rice (Rating:5/5🌟) This place is my favourite place for Japanese casual meal. Absolutely delicious and addictive. Mentai Rice (rm19) Basically Pollock roe, the salted roe of Alaska Pollock on tamago on a bed of rice. Simply and yet delicious! I completely fell in love with this dish 😍 Grilled whole Japanese squid (rm24) was good as well. Teriyaki cod (rm50+) medium size was not bad but not worth the price.

Shio Egg Ramen (RM17.40) You don’t come across many chicken based ramen restaurants. Honestly, it was better than some of the pork based broth I’ve had before. Well balanced flavours. Creamy and rich broth with thin ramen noodles.

For Hearty Halal Chicken Ramen This newbie in Damansara Uptown specialises in chicken-based ramen, also known as toripaitan. Go for the house signature Toripaitan Extreme Egg (RM19.40), which Burppler Hemlatha Nagappan enjoyed for its well-balanced soup. The large bowl comes filled with thick noodles, tender chicken slices and jammy egg. Give the accompanying lemon wedge a squeeze to cut through the richness of the broth. Salmon Calzone Okay la, pass for good salmon filling. Must eat while it’s hot. The crust tends to get a bit hard after a while. It’s not as pillowy as the ones compared to other Italian restaurants.

The restaurant is typically full for dinner, so make a reservation before swinging by. Try the cream sauce-based Popeye The Sailor (from RM30.90) featuring chicken breast, spinach and an egg. They also do calzones (a stuffed and folded pizza), and the hearty Meat Lover (RM26.90) loaded with roasted and minced beef, cherry tomatoes and peppers is a guaranteed tummy-filler.
