Finally got to try this much raved about chilli KKM at 3.30am for supper!! And it seriously did not disappoint and even exceeded my expectations! This is by far the tasiest bowl of koka noodles i’ve ever eaten. Comfort food especially when one is craving for a hot bowl of maggi mee with loads of toppings. The minced pork, pork slices and liver were also very well marinated and went very well with the thick spicy broth! 😋
Craving for a tasty and spicy treat for your tastebuds? This chilli ban mian might just be the one that satisfies! Their handmade noodles were super QQ and chewy in texture. All the toppings went very well together when mixed together with the black sauce and chilli paste. The mushrooms were well marinated. Interestingly, they used hin choi (spinach) and the poached egg seals the deal when mixed thoroughly into the noodles. The result: a burst of umami flavour in your mouth! 😋 definitely coming back for more!
Can’t decide on coffee or tea? How about both?? 😉 This drink is one part matcha, one part milk and one part espresso (coffee)! Tastewise, it had a very interesting blend. At first sip, you’ll taste the coffee and there after the fragrance and bitterness of the matcha hits your tastebuds and leaves you with a bitter aftertaste of both the coffee and matcha. Also noteworthy is that this cafe has very nice industrial themed decor and has friendly staffs 😊
Unfortunately, this looked better than it tasted. Was rather disappointed by the tonkotsu broth as it was thin and quite tasteless. The black garlic oil also did not seem to add any extra oomph to the lacking in flavour pork based soup. Only saving grace was the lava egg (+$1) and charred melt-in-your-mouth charshu (1 thick piece) that was done well. Thankfully, the ramen noodles were done al-dente and retained its chewy texture.
Trying this newly opened stall selling penang prawn noodles. The cloudy dark orangey crustacean soup broth looked really promising and amazing but tastewise, in my opinion it was not as thick or tasty as compared to other penang prawn noodles i’ve tried at other places (e.g.: Malaysia Boleh at JP and Let’s Eat at Ion). However for $4, i think it is worth a try if you prefer a less thick but sweet crustacean broth. Prawns used were fresh and succulent. They offer a big prawn noodle version that costs $10 and penang prawn noodle with pork ribs at $6.
Trying this much raved about fish maw soup BCM! The soup broth was cloudy, thick and flavourful (could taste the sole fish that gave the soup its saltiness and fragrance). Noodles (chose mee-kia) were springy and the mushrooms were tasty, plump and juicy. The bowl of soup came with big pieces of fish maw, pork liver, dumpling, fishball, pork ball, minced pork, seaweed and sweet wolfberries. So good we slurped up all the soup and left the place with our tummies very satisfied! 😋 This stall is opened 24hours everyday as well, keeping in mind for supper fix next time 😉
One of Bobii Frutii’s signature ice blended drink, Mermaid’s Tears is made up of mango juice, lemon, yogurt, honey, butterfly pea extract and blue bobii (pearls). It tasted refreshing and the mango flavour was fragrant, however it was a tad too sweet for my liking, perhaps its due to the honey? The pearls were soft and chewy. Will return to try their other flavours!
back here again after a week as wanted to try their other food 😋 Always a sucker for anything truffle really, haha 🙊 Their garlic truffle fries were not bad but kinda preferred their truffle sweet potato fries instead as it was tastier. Truffle & egg pizza was yummy - the thin crust was warm and crisp with the runny egg yolk in the middle and strongly fragrant truffle paste. Pesto cremoso pasta was tasty with the spaghetti done al dente; plus the shrimps were fresh and succulent.👏🏻
Craving for old school western food? Try Bedok Western Food (stall #01-62). Their pork chops were tender and juicy, and the accompanying garlic sauce was very yummy. Fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside 😋 Opens till midnight.
super comforting bowls of starchy ban mian goodness 😋 thick and tasty soup broth + texture of the noodles were both springy. their mee hoon kueh was not too thick and still maintained its chewy texture. their chilli sauce went really well with the minced pork and meatballs. the fried ikan billis tasted freshly fried and was still crisp while we slurped up the noodles and soup (good to the last drop!) will be back to try the dry version! Prices start from $4.
finally here to try their waffles and ice cream! ordered the charcoal waffle which was crisp and fluffy on the inside, drizzled with salted caramel sauce and lavender bits. the pistachio ice cream was very creamy and the sorbet was really smooth. will be back to try their other flavours! 😋
casual italian dining with great food and nice ambience. service was a little slow and they forgot to serve our drinks, however the taste of their food made up for it and we left with very happy and satisfied tummies. will be back to try their other food as they have a really great variety to choose from and their pastas also come in tasting portions instead of full portions for those of you who want to order more varieties of food instead. what a brillant idea if u ask me 😄
