đDapper Coffee, 73A Amoy Street
âïž Earl Grey Yuan Yang ($8) & Salted Gula Melaka Latte ($7)
Hidden on the upper floor along Amoy street shophouses, Dapper Coffee welcomes you with a fancy bar, fancy music, and fancy coffee.
The Earl Grey Yuan Yang ($8) had the perfect floral notes that complemented the aromatic espresso and early grey milk. Topped with Lavender buds, this floral coffee kicked a punch.
The Salted Gula Melaka Latte ($7) was gao/thick, creamy, and not overly salty. Was a bit afraid of the possibility of my coffee tasting rather salty but it wasnât! The aftertaste of this creamy latte was a mixture of sweetness and a tinge of salt. I believe the Gula Melaka made the coffee taste overall more full and whole. For the price point, itâs a 10/10 for me because the cup was huge.
The ambience can be likened to a pub/bar in Europe with its darker atmosphere and cavern-like chairs and tables. Great great service! Would come back!
Sometimes, when we think of Vegan food, we may picture loads of vegetables and fruits. But WellSmoocht breaks that thinking and adds a twist to the âtypicalâ Vegan dish. They replaced chicken with pulled jackfruit and strangely, they had somewhat the same texture. The cashew âcheezâ on the pizza was as tasty as normal cheese and it made me wonder why more places couldnât use cashew âcheezâ instead đ€
Price-wise itâs a little expensive and around a normal cafe price but itâs worth the try, especially if you are craving some interesting Vegan food or if you are a Vegan yourself!
The Truffle Carbonara didnât fail to disappoint in terms of flavour and portion size đ The Carbonara cream sauce was tasty and not âjelakâ. Portion size was slightly bigger than a normal Carbonara dish outside so that made it worth every cent spent! Good for sharing with other sides đđ»
Hands down one of the best Matcha Latteâs Iâve ever tried - and I have tried a lot. Just the right amount of sugar to matcha to milk ratio. Just give it a little stir and youâre good to go! The matcha latte is smooth and silky đ”
Wildseedâs Truffle Curly fried was tasty and served as a generous portion. It was paired with a truffle mayo of some sorts. A bit too fried and oily for my liking.
really hands down one of the best mac and cheeseâs ive ever eaten đ€© (cheeses?? cheeseâs??) this mentaiko mac and cheese ($14) may appear small but itâs so filling! the mentaiko sauce is blended so well with the cheese and the fish roe adds the little crunch factor in this dish.
Rating: 10/10 đŹ
P.S. The wait time for queues might be a little longer now because they are doing the social distancing thang. Which is good!!
