Hokkien mee ($4)
The prawn noodles had a slight prawn broth taste which can be stronger. As a result, the yellow mee taste was a litte overpowering and no wokhei taste. The amount of prawn and sotong was reasonable though. Liked the chilli. Overall not an impressive plate of fried prawn noodles.
Chicken chop ($7)
Chicken piece was huge!! Chicken skin was crispy and tasted nice with the slightly peppery mushroom sauce. The coleslaw and baked beans and fries too made the entire meal very filling. They give you a buzzer after you order so theres no need to queue there. Loved it!
Wanton noodles ($4)
Noodles were cooked al dente and very springy without the alkaline taste. The wanton were nicely seasoned and fresh. The highlight will be the charsiew which is nicely charred and with a good meat to fat ratio. Loved it!! Their chilli was nice as well.
Avocado juice ($4)
Avocado juice with gula melaka.. very creamy smooth and rich!! Definitely no syrup or water added to dilute it. Long queue but moves fast and always worth it for the quality.
Hainanese chicken rice ($3)
Comes with substantial amount of chicken meat. The chicken is quite average, not impressive. The achar was quite appetising. Rice was also not oily or fragrant enough. Chilli however was spicy and packed a punch. Overall just a very normal plate of chicken rice.
Spinach soup ($3.80+$0.50+$0.50)
This is tofu option which has tofu ytf style. Added egg and rice for 0.50 each. Soup is not too salty, spinach is substantial and the tofu pieces are quite nice. Seems homemade, not factory made kind.
Spinach soup woth seafood and koka noodles ($3.80 + $0.50)
The mains are fifty cents. The soup is alright, spinach is generous and seafood quite fresh. Came with egg. Very filling as a meal.
Beef and veg sundubu ($19++)
Can choose the base and level of spiciness. Picked level 2 and miso base. The mix was just nice for me. Liked the combination of beef shabu slices with veg like cabbage and corn. Overall not cheap but taste wise one of the best korean tofu soup around!
Plain naan and butter chicken ($2 + $8)
Naan was nicely toasted. Butter chicken was very nice, not too sweet but nicely tomatoey and creamy. Chicken was the tandoori chicken which went very well with the sauce and was a perfect pairing with the plain naan. Not cheap but will return for more! This place is open 24hr.
Shishito chilli chicken ($18+)
Comes with 2 pcs of chicken, garlic potato buns and yoghurt dip. The chicken portion was considerably big and had a strong cumin taste. Rather spicy and the strong taste may be too overpowering for most people? Buns were crisp on outside and soft fluffy inside.
Laksa pasta ($21++)
Laksa taste is not pronounced enough and it was very very bland to the extent that we asked for salt from the restaurant! The linguine was cooked al dente. Soft shell crab was crispy and nice though. Overall i still wont order this dish again.
