Coffee in a causal, Ikea showroom like setting. Another great find for a quiet day of reading.

Can't go wrong with this dish if you are on a slow carb diet. No noodles no rice. Easy on the pocket as well.

Continuation of my slow carb diet. Obvious choice when u r on holiday in Johore? Yong Tau Foo. Searched for a highly rated Yong tau foo and Choy Kee was highly recommended. Make sure you choose the pork ball, fish cake and egg Yong tau foo. My favourites among all.

The Chicken Breast was dry and slightly on the tough as all chicken breast meats usually are. The chilli sauce made up for the dryness and toughness. The spinach was surprisingly refreshing with the tomatoes. A little overpowering in the taste with the onions thrown in. Spinach is a good source of potassium, calcium and magnesium. It is something I am consciously trying to add to my meals. Conclusion: not practical to eat this on a regular basis as it can be heavy on the pockets.

New cafe just popped up in Toa Payoh, featuring as the name suggests waffles! I have not tried the waffles yet. Just came by for my usual long black and catching up on my reading. The coffee is smooth, balanced and easy on the palate. Good quality.

Not really a new place but I only found out about it recently when my wife wanted to eat rainbow cake and Lynda Ann's was one of places recommended. The cakes here are awesome!!! It's my wife and mine favourite cake shop now! The cakes that I had tried - Carrot cake, choc cupcake, choc cake etc were all very good and the texture of the cakes are moist and not dry and you dun have the overdose feel after eating it. Two thumbs up!!!

Checking out a new cafe in the east. Siglap Drive. Looks like a bike boutique from outside. Missed it a few times when driving past. Cosy place. Food so-so. Coffee is good. Nice place to catch up on your reading.

One of my pet peeves about Prata shops is that they mass cooked the Prata and serve u the soggy and 'stale' Prata. Really hate it. And this best kept secret in Toa Payoh served Prata fresh. Made right on the spot, cooked and served to u hot! The result is fresh, crisp and yet chewy fluffy Prata. 👍

Fully customized ramen. You can how strong u want your soup to taste like, how much oil u want, the texture of your noodles and the toppings you want. Suitable for the fussy eater.

Not as hipster as I tot it will be. Burger patty is juicy. Buns soft and with a nice seasame taste to it. No wonder their burgers are famous. Flat whites is normal.
