I have tried Man Man Unagi before Uya. Hence, Man Man has raised the standards for Ungai Don and I have certain expectations when trying the Hitsumabushi Unagi set at Uya. While Man Man has to queue, there isn't much queue for Uya.
Based on my recollection, the prices for Man Man and Uya are around the same. Advantages for Uya are that they sell a wider variety of food compared to Man Man. However, given the prices, I will still go for Man Man as its quality and taste are better. If you are craving for grilled Unagi and you are around the Orchard area, Uya is still a fairly good option.
Have always wanted to try Tan Yu. Found the chance to try it during early dinner hours on a weekday without much queue.
The sauce is flavourful but can be abit strong when the ingredients and fish are soaked for a longer time.
Overall, the dish is yummy and I will revisit and recommend it my frens.
Due to the spices used, the aroma can be strong if you want to avoid any smell after the meal. The portion is big so 1 fish is good for 3 pax to share.

Slightly oily but the paste have a nice texture, chewy just how I like it. Didn’t taste the prawn due to personal diet

La Pizzaiola

A charming spot on Kandahar Street, this beautifully outfitted shophouse restaurant is the place to go to for Neopolitan-style pizzas. Made with imported Italian flour, topped with homemade tomato sauce and loaded with fresh ingredients, the pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven that is suspended from a ceiling (!). Neopolitan-style pizzas sport a characteristic leopard-like spotted crust and are incredibly flavourful. Order the Bismark ($25), a Burpple community favourite that comes topped with fior de latte cheese, ham, mushrooms, parmesan and a runny egg. Take Burppler Cassandra Chow's cue to swirl the egg yolk with the creamy cheese for "a luxurious, creamy, fragrant, amazing mess". The Magherita ($18) and salami-topped Diavola ($23) are also winners in our books. For dessert, consider the 72% Venezuela cocoa cake, flecked with pink sea salt and topped with vanilla gelato.
Avg Price: $40 per person

The steak is to die for. Enuff said.
The steak is as nice as it's price, $20+ per 100gm, with the chef explaining how they prepare the steak. Mine was with bone marrow that actually tasted quite nutty bit the steak is so on point 💯.
The chewness of the steak is not too tough nor too soft, and it's a mid-rare doneness which the chef will recommend to you. Despite the steak has chewness, it also melts in your mouth with a soft chew 🤤
If you are slightly on budget, try their pull pork burger which is so filling and only $20+.
Definitely recommend the steak 😍
Glad to have found @brine.singapore in June 2017. And glad that @timchee was opened to trying for his bday. $48 for 5 course meals, you can’t find anywhere more worth it than here! .

Yummy~ but more pricey than what you eat at food court. Of coz, these are better quality food and some are established brands. Good concept cuz we have more variety to choose from 🤤🤤🤤 Oh, the tempura is the popular one at Suntec City. Explored Terminal 4 but there was nothing there 😂 • #japanesefood #changiairport #changiairportterminal2 #japanesegourmetfoodhall #japaneserestaurants #sgdelicacy #instasg #sg #instagrammers #igsg #sgig #singapore #sggirls #whati8today #sgigfoodie #burpple #hungrygowhere #foodporn #foodpornsg #sgmakandiary #eatoutsg
