[Can Eat!] Wouldn't be here if not for covid and the need to have individual pots. 😂 But, Conveyor Belt Hotpot is quite conveniently located in Dhoby and has quite a good selection for the dinner buffet. Instead of the conveyor belt, the staff now brings your order to your table directly. Quality-wise, its typical of those you get at buffets so don't expect anything fancy.😬 I enjoyed the free flow of ice cream tho!😋

PS: the place smells very strongly so be prepared for it. Also, the soup gets salty after a while.
PPS: Bring your own water cos a bottle of water costs $2.50. So ex!

[Must Eat!] I really like Wagyu but they're usually quite pricey (think above 50 bucks) so I'm super glad to find Bizen which allows you to indulge in wagyu without bankrupting your wallet! The restaurant allows you to pick your preferred cut from a large variety available (there's only 3 options shown in the menu outside the restaurant but there are way more options when u ask the staff!) depending on whether you prefer your meat lean or fatty. Each steak comes with 2 sides of your choice and you can even pick the size of your steak (150g or 220g). I find that 150g with the 2 sides is more than enough for me as I couldn't even finish the sides.
.
Featured is the Chuck Short Rib ($24.90 for 150g) which is a fattier cut. I ordered medium rare and thought the beef might be overdone due to the dark exterior color but look at the beautiful pink centre! The beef was also tender and juicy, thanks to the fats which has a bit of the melty texture 😍😍 One small point of contention was that I felt that the steak was a little too oily for my liking, especially since my cut was the fatty part. I would definitely love to return and try other leaner parts.

[Must Eat!] This Wagyu Don is really fragrant with all dem beef slices and that runny onsen egg! 😍 It's one of the nicer beef don I have ever had but then again, its kinda pricey at $14.90. Currently, if you go on a weekday lunch at 1130am - 3pm, you can get this for $8.90 and it even comes with a complimentary hot/ cold green tea! 🥳 Now I wish my office is near Funan hahahha!

[Must Eat!] Had a really lovely chill pre-dinner at Little Island Brewing Co embracing the sea breeze and generally enjoying the atmosphere 😍 Highly recommend the alfresco dining and also trying the craft beers on the menu. My favorite was defo the Mac & Cheese cos the melted cheese was just so nice & gooey at the top! 😋 The truffle fries was also p awesome with relatively well-distributed truffle oil drizzled on them. The aioli sauce also complements the crunchy fries super well.

I was, however, unimpressed by the Brisket Cheese Croquettes which were rather bland.

Btw I recommend to go in the evening or night to enjoy the lovely alfresco dining! It might be too hot in the day.

Also, the craft beers are all pretty good. They have an extensive list of 11 craft beers so you're sure to find something you like.

[Must Eat!] Who else does this to their yolk too? 😍 I recommend Kajiken's Mazesoba cos the noodles are Q (bouncy texture) and the minced meat & sauce is flavorful! The portion is quite hearty and I really love the fragrant Japanese rice provided at the end to soak up all the delicious sauce! 😋😋 This was $13.80 which is within expectations for a Japanese cuisine. Also, this is from the Kajiken stall at Hokkaido Marche but I couldn't find it on burpple yet.

PS: The sauce was really intolerably spicy for me but should be fine for the average Singaporean 🤭
