Home Made Tiramisu Of course, you can’t go home without trying Beyond The Dough’s brilliant Home Made Tiramisu ($12). Essentially a greatly balanced, delicious slice of cake. Think rich coffee flavour, creamy smooth mascarpone, moist layers of sponge that are just boozy enough and a delectable bittersweet blanket of cocoa powder on the very top.

Bismark Reminding me of a breakfast pizza, the Bismark ($35) was a foolproof, classic pairing with Mozzarella, Mushroom, Prosciutto, Egg, Pecorino and Black Pepper. Yes to the luscious runny yolk, savoury melted cheese and saltish ham. As expected the wood-fired dough was the highlight, the thin crust exceptionally seasoned and you got to love the beautiful smokey charred edges. The fine pie with soft-crisp-and-the-right-amount-of-chew bites.

Fried Chicken Seemingly studded with herbs in their batter, the Not Your Ordinary Fried Chicken ($15) was executed perfectly too. Thin, delicately light, crisp, crunchy and not at all greasy, the exterior was superb. I especially enjoyed the wonderfully marinated and succulent protein which was perfumed with the homemade Japanese herb sauce - so juicy and moreish.

Happy hour 6-7.30pm Free chips, pretty good food, and cocktails! What’s really nice about the place is the vibes tho, really nice place to chill and talk. It’s not overly bougie, more of a comfortable classy place!

Genmaicha Bellini & Yuzu Whiskey Sour 2020 Asia’s best 50 bar, #1 What more can I say? Nothing but impressive cocktail concoctions with Asian-influenced ingredients that comes (shakes) so well together. A tad expensive at $25++/drink. So come for the Happy Hour, drinks are at $16++! Tho limited selection but good start to conquering all the others when the pay check comes in 😂

The labyrinth chili crab. (Chef’s tasting menu/$218). How blessed I am to have friends fulfilling my wishlist of dining at @restaurantlabyrinth as a celebration for my wedding. 🥰 People who know me well will know that I am a big fan of ModSin and Mod Asian cuisine, so how could I possibly miss out on a one-Michelin star restaurant that pays homage to local Singaporean cuisine! One of my favourites that night had to be the signature labyrinth chili crab. Leaving me in awe was not just the smooth chili crab ice cream complemented by the sweet local flower crab that had resembled the actual dish, but also details like the embellishing ice plant and the mini fried mantous which completed the entire experience. Adorable and applaudable. It was definitely also heartwarming to see local establishments supporting local farms and suppliers.

Pakoreas $16 An unforeseen show stopper arrived in the form of unassuming pakoras. Festooned with flavour, the deep-fried sweet potato and kale pakoras were shatteringly crunchy on the outside and spiced to mouthwatering perfection. I thought molecular gastronomy was well and truly dead, but the duo of spherified mint raita balls were an impressive sight to behold, exploding and unleasing a refreshing gush of herbaceous sauce at the poke of your knife. A successful showcase of familiar ingredients presented in unexpected ways. - Taste: 3.5/5

Grogu’s Roast $23 per 100g An obvious ode to hit Star Wars tv show Mandalorian (and probably a pun on Mangalorean), the Grogu Roast sees 4 precious (and slightly miniscule) pieces of admittedly flawlessly executed Iberico pork. Fatty and slightly charred, each slice was perfectly pink in the middle. The Mangalorean spice mix however, felt overly mild and weak to me. At close to $90, you'd be hard-pressed to justify the price for what you get.

Tikka Takeaway $29 My takeaway for this starter is that it's on the wrong side of overpriced. Whilst the grilled octopus was well-cooked, texturally it was more akin to fishcake than what I am used to. The schmear of tandoori-lime aioli was well-seasoned and I appreciated the charred bits of onion as well, but the naan crumbs weren't really essential. - Taste: 3/5

Oven Roasted Bone Marrow | $21 A dish that looks small but boasts a bold flavour. And because of how full-bodied the execution of the bone marrow was, I’d recommend sharing this lest you get sick of it too easily. I enjoyed spreading the bone marrow on the garlic bread and pairing it with the beef - essentially constructing the different elements of this dish together because it complemented one another so well. The sweetness from the caramelised onion was a nice touch, but like the grilled lamb short ribs - the strong flavours got too overwhelming after a while. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Sakoshi Bay Oysters | $30 Fresh and plump oysters which I enjoyed. It was dressed with raspberry, vinaigrette, and ikura, though the raspberry wasn’t very apparent to me. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Grilled Lamb Short Ribs | $19 Can understand why people say that the short ribs are on the gamier side, but I personally thought it was manageable, perhaps even worth it because the meat was really fall of the bone kind of tender! And helping to balance that gaminess was the interesting choice of pomegranate and toasted almonds which gave both a crunchiness and sweetness to the lamb. I did think that by the end, the lamb was too greasy which made it feel much heavier on the palate. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Spicy vodka Rigatoni 29++ Honestly it's very harmonious, idk how much vodka there was but I wouldn't have suspected a thing if you didn't tell me. Small pieces of sausages and onions were both quite generous, and this dish tastes abit Asian idk why(gochujang to me and chili crab to her). Rigatoni was just a tad hard tho

Mafaldine cacio e Pepe 27++ I mean sure it's not bad, the cheesiness was enough but not too much, and it wasn't overwhelming. But idk why anyone would fork out 30bucks for something with absolutely no ingredients lol. It's not mindblowing anyway I mean if this is an authentic cacio e Pepe, good for them, it doesn't taste too different from what I imagine anyway. It's literally cheese and black pepper what did you expect?

Truffle ricotta toast 30++ The ricotta was quite creamy in texture, much better than the ones at supermarkets. However it doesn't have much taste except for a mild milkiness The truffle shavings are clearly not enough for us to taste anything, but I doubt it's a very good and earthy kind. So what you actually taste is just the cheap truffle paste at the bottom of the ricotta, with the sickly truffle oil aroma. Thank God it's suppressed due to the heaps of ricotta Toast was brilliant, very crispy on the outside yet still super airy, and holds the thick ricotta well The flavours made for a light appetiser, but the cheap truffle paste is something I hate. Overall I won't recommend anyway even if you like truffle paste, just not stunning enough to deserve 30++
