among the mala tang shops in singapore, zhang liang is definitely one of my top favourites… there’s something about the soup that’s so fragrant, milky but not overly so… 🤍

one of the more enjoyable and delicious hotpot / bbq buffets i’ve gone to 🤍 the tomato soup was so addictive, couldn’t stop drinking. & shoutout to the bbq meat platter - it was a MOUNTAIN of meat and we were trying our best to finish but so so yummy!

also the place was so pretty and the staff were very approchable and friendly too so the dining experience was a huge plus!

left this place feeling like the fried chicken was very typical (still nice, but nothing special) BUT the kimchi stew… SO SO DELICIOUS and addictive we kept helping ourselves.

okay so this was so good i wrote a lemon8 post about it. BUT TLDR: curry is rich and milky, chicken is so tender (and given generously), potato chunks are aplenty and the taupok soaks up the curry so well. try it!

another A++ korean meal!

we got the set which was so much more value for money!
- tangsuyuk (came with fried lotus root and crispy noodle too, you can pour the sauce on your own)
- jjampong (savoured every single sip)
- jjajangmyeon (one of the best i’ve tasted in singapore)
- bossam (pork belly was cooked to perfection and in such thick, tender slices!)

our conclusion was that it was well worth the money we paid :)

i wrote in another review about how much i love ajumma’s so i won’t go too much into my love for it here.

- crispy samgyeopsal with scrambled egg on rice: delicious!! elaborated in another post so won’t do it again

- kimchi pancake: was a little oily but i liked that there was a distinct sour-spiciness of the kimchi that you could taste through the pancake

- army stew: also a very classic dish that never goes wrong, with baked beans, spam, hotdog, vegetables, kimchi, enoki and maggie. i however prefer the kimchi pork stew!

our mala stall in the south spine canteen has switched up a few times but the current stall owners are so friendly!! and the mala is so fragrant too.

we had a few dishes but one of the outstanding ones was the charcoal hotpot with tomato soup! i love tomato soup so this was really homely :)

yummy mentaiko carbonara udon though it got a little jelak closer to the end! still finished it gladly though

this was from the curry rice stall!
I LOVE THE PORK BELLY. and the potato chunks. and the curry. basically everything on this plate. i had to stop eating halfway to take a photo to remember this gem of a dish

i didn’t expect myself to enjoy mexican food so much but I DID!!!! 🥺🥺

we got:
- loaded nachos: i’m not even much of an avocado fan but i ate EVERY MORSEL of that guacamole because it paired so well with the nachos… shoutout to the tomato salsa & chicken as well! so good
- fish tacos: damnnn i would never have thought of getting fish tacos purely off a menu, only got it because so many tiktok reviews were raving about it and it definitely did not disappoint. the fried fish was so tantalising & the sauce definitely packed a sweet-sour-spicy punch
- pork quesadillas: also delicious but least memorable of all we got!
