At $8 (before taxes) this is probably one of the most value-for-money cakes you can get! It's massive, and I can never resist those colours!! The cake is really dense, and slathered with cream cheese. Do not attempt this alone. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cake was cheesy while I didn't really liked the crust with a weir taste to it.
This place targets the hordes of school children in the neighbourhood with the affordable pricing, probably not so much for those seeking quality. Wasn't so impressed with the gigantic bottomless tubs of ice cream on their display, similar to those found in buffets. Ice cream were expectedly of inferior quality, somewhat icy with a texture quite like crayons. The yam (orh nee) ice cream was alright, nothing amazing. The rum and raisin had a banana after taste, with zero alcoholic kick. Waffles looked really impressive, but were incredibly hard, tasting a lot like biscuits. Which is actually fine but I don't think the ice cream was a good pairing. Perhaps tweaking the recipe slightly and selling just the waffles would be better. Not a place I would return to nor recommend.
The last stops of the “Dilmah Real High Tea” café challenge brought us to Tanjong Pagar.
I gave quite a loud “Oohhh” when I tried Miss Molly’s Rainbow Cake ($13 with Dilmah Tea) – moist, not too sweet, and goes well with the floral Rose with French Vanilla tea.

Thank you @chengneeeee for planning my birthday celebration throughout the weekend. It was one of my most memorable and happiest birthdays ever. Even though I might not have shown it that explicitly from my expressions, I appreciate each and every of your carefully planned surprises. I am so lucky and glad that you will always have my back (just like your Yili Paopao and mine), supporting me each and everyday. Cheers to our great future together.
Found another weekend option in the east. I like their menu. Serves food with their own interesting interpretation!
This place was highly recommended by many friends and our hotel was just 5mins away. .

Piping hot porridge with fresh ingredients with roasted duck. Seriously good food but their service need a lot of improvement. The duck came but we waited another 30mins for the porridge. .

Another new hunt near home, swung by to check out what's in store tonight. Spotted some unusual flavours, and immediately asked to try:
(1) White Truffle - whoa! intense, probably too much for a whole scoop on your own;
(2) Melon & Parma Ham - refreshing, sorbet-like melon flavour that melts away into salty parma bites, very interesting;
(3) Thai Earl Grey - I'm a tea addict, so I'm totally biased. Got a pint of this to-go, had forgotten all about my other love, the Salted Caramel!
🍦 Scoop: S$3.80 (reg) | S$4.20 (*premium)
🍦 Pint: S$15 (reg) | S$18 (*premium)
Thick toasts and waffles available too.
