Sweetness, firmness of the prawn with slightly vinegared rice. Would prefer it served raw though.
Brushed with soya sauce, the fats melted nicely with every chew and delivered a nice bouquet in my mouth and sweet aftertaste. Just the way i like my Maguro to be.
Bafun Uni from Hokkaido in their unique seaweed that seems to some tinge of shrimp, yes, tastes of umami. Uni is sweet, indulging but it’s the seaweed that leaves this lingering taste. Addictive~
Aburi’d with oakwood charcoal right infront of us, served brushed with quality soya with a tinge of sweetness and freshly grated wasabi
Plain indulgence with double deck of Unagi! Comfort during dine-in prohibition.
Too much meat overkill for me in one sitting but the boys would always fight and insist on ordering this. For beef lover, this is always a joy.
I’d always tell myself to do it with mushroom next time yet always ordered the one with seafood when next time comes.
My all-time favourite and the only toufu i take - braised fried egg tofu blended with poached spinach on a bed of spinach with diced scallop.
Been craving for this since the heightened alert. Surprisingly, the standard reverts to the pre-covid standard, it was pretty bad at one point in time till we ended up in Crystal Jade and Mott 32.
The duck was beautifully done to perfection and yes, the juiciness is back with the super umami skin.
Local comfort food Rojak in Pie Tee shell. Interesting presentation.
Simmered fried thai jasmine rice in century-egg- petai-ulam-raja reduction, topped with king prawns. Was not too overpowering for me as century egg is never my thing. Prawns were delish, and there were 5 of them! Total indulgence!
I remembered this tasted way better and magical the other round. This time round, unfortunately a miss for me as the otah was a little dry and slightly overdone. The seared barrumundi stomached the mackerel-and-squid-blend otah served with sambal, achar and chinchalok.
