Meaty Meals
Too much meat overkill for me in one sitting but the boys would always fight and insist on ordering this. For beef lover, this is always a joy.
I’d always tell myself to do it with mushroom next time yet always ordered the one with seafood when next time comes.
My all-time favourite and the only toufu i take - braised fried egg tofu blended with poached spinach on a bed of spinach with diced scallop.
Been craving for this since the heightened alert. Surprisingly, the standard reverts to the pre-covid standard, it was pretty bad at one point in time till we ended up in Crystal Jade and Mott 32.
The duck was beautifully done to perfection and yes, the juiciness is back with the super umami skin.
Quite enjoyed this but my companion commented this was underwhelming. Personally the fillet mignon (i assumed) was well-handled at medium rare. The mushroom filling in between didnt compliment the beef much. Sides will grilled broccoli and carrot and mash. Anyhow, comforting for a Sunday dinner.
$55 for 4 pieces of medium-well aussie lamb chops with peppercorn sauce by the side, and a piece of golden roasted spud. Actually quite filling and satisfying. But do give the mint sauce a miss. Theirs is this sour mix with mint. Mint jelly would have been a better condiment.
Amazing food and sake selection. They are known for their beef- whether raw, stewed, grilled, or shabu shabu. Definitely not shabu shabu gen quality good. But decently nice for that iza night. The tuna bomb is my favorite, with tuna chunks on grill and fire served not tableside but on the table, the Mt Fuji is always heartwarming especially with ramen thrown in. Broth might get a little salty after a while that warrants the server to add a little water to make it right. Their raw beef sashimi is pretty good too..! But no dentures allowed as it’s really chewy.
