I have this almost on a weekly basis, even during Circuit Breaker.
Express Teppan-yaki that is nested in the Kopitiam at Jurong Point. Honestly, one of my favourite places to go! All meals are served with soup, rice, bean sprout & vegetables.
My usual order would be Individual Set B, which includes the following:
Fish
Squid
Scallop
Oyster
Meat (Chicken Drumstick — my pick/ Sirloin Steak)
Another outlet that I go often is Causeway Point’s. I am aware that there are few other outlets but these two are the only outlets I got to try.
$19.30 (Jurong Point)
Tried Salted Caramel the other day & I really liked it.
From the ice creams to the fluffy crispy waffles, has got me adding them to my must go list wherever I am near.
Got Pistachio & Blackforest this time, I must say I prefer Pistachio way more than the other. I am a huge fan of Pistachio and theirs did not disappoint. Another flavour that I enjoyed was Salted Caramel. I mean, their shop name was literally named that, so how could I not give it a try? 😋
Have been wanting to try out this Korean fast food chain and I finally got the chance to.
The thick patty was made from boneless chicken thigh, a pretty tender and crispy chicken burger. The Deep Cheese was some nacho cheese, it’s alright but I would prefer without.
I absolutely love this Dark Chocolate Truffle Brownie Cake. Swipe to see texture.

Hidden Gem in the West?
Calling Westies that loves Korean Fried Chicken!
I wanna thank my best friend for always discovering hidden gems and sharing them with me ☺️
I absolutely love this chill place, their fried chicken were fried to crispy goodness with burst of flavour in each bite. My go to order is the Boneless Chicken — Ganjang flavour. One day when I have enough courage to try the Chilli Padi, I will update you all.
My other must order when I go is Kimchi Pancake. No word to describe, it’s just a must. If nobody wants to share with me then I will have that by myself.
I tried Zzolmyeon (not in picture) for the first time and it was pretty good, portion was really huge.
Okay, guess the price for this? Uh-uh, no cheating. Guess first, price will be revealed at the bottom of this post.
The lunch here always leave me with a satisfied belly. Menu is slightly confusing so I would usually go with their weekly special or whatever special that day.
This bowl here contains:
Bara Chirashi
Prawn Sashimi
Uni
King Crab
Tobiko
Negitoro
Ikura
Sushi Rice
Prawn was GIANT. I was seriously shocked by the size of the prawn, I could hardly hold the head with chopstick. The rest of the ingredients were fresh and satisfying, nothing that I did not enjoy here. The rice was decently portioned. Even the wasabi is good.
The meal comes with appetiser and drinks as well, I didn’t take photo but they were 👍🏻 Honestly, such a good deal.
$24.80 nett
First time trying pita & I was quite pleased by how puffy and slightly chewy it was.
Had Abu Kebab which was stuffed with the following:
Lamb & Beef Meatball
Tahini
Chili
Salsa
Pickles
Onion
Parsley
Plate are provided upon request but I enjoy eating with the pita in my hands. The next time I am there, perhaps I will try their Folded Cheeseburger.
Note that I went during off peak hour on a Friday, it was quite crowded.

This Ah Ma Mee Sua really brought me comfort last week when I was sick.
Their never ending queue was hard to miss. Initially didn’t want to try this as I didn’t want to queue but I am really glad I did.
There was a huge resemblance in taste as compared to the one my Ah Ma used to cook. I enjoyed it so much that I had it again first thing on the following day.
$4
My love for oyster is huge. I was at @payalebarquarter when I saw the poster at @donburikingsg for Fresh Oysters.
These plump and succulent oysters are from Canada. Subjected to availability, the oysters just restocked when I was there, almost couldn’t enjoy it.
3 for $12
6 for $20
Note to self, order Strawberry Milkshake again when I am back.
The milkshake was both sweet & salty which made me really like it.
Here is my favourite Pad Thai.
I think I might have use the word favourite a little too much, there is a favourite for everything.
Overall, this is my go-to place for Thai food, other food that we would always order is Green Curry. Though do expect a waiting time as lesser seats now due to the small area & COVID-19 restrictions.
Another King 😂 Okay, I know they have been around for awhile, but I just visited them recently.
It wasn’t as huge as I imagined but the portion was definitely comfortable. The torched swordfish belly that covered the rice was juicy and satisfying. Topped with a tasty scoop of negitoro to complete the donburi.
Though It was mentioned that “All donburi comes w/ soup”, soup wasn’t served. However, I only realised after leaving. Oh well.
Fun fun: Swordfish is my favourite.
