This was my second visit to Spathe Public House and it has not disappointed. The chicken and waffles are on point 💯, so was the beef sandwich. I ordered the tipsy beer chicken (singapore sling flavour - tiger beer, $55 for whole chicken) on my second visit, and trust me, it's worth every bit of the 30 min wait. The chicken is not too oily or fat and is super tasty and tender! Will be back again for this dish!

The back room coffee here was pricey (~S$9) but worth a try for its special flavours. It was really interesting to watch the coffee being made - drip coffee - kind of like how Vietnamese coffee is made. This particular coffee (St. Isabel, Guatemala) had quite a strong blackcurrant flavour, a "dessert-coffee", if that could be made a term.

A good ole piece of moist apple cake that is exploding with the fragrance and flavour of apples and crumble! Rustic and unpretentious, and absolutely scrummy (cause it reminds me of the English countryside) 😁

The alcohol content is light here, present only in the lychees. Not sure if the rose bud had to do with it, but the whip cream had a flowery fragrance to it, didn't particularly like that. The cake is light and airy, but I probably won't get this again.
