Watch me burn.
Love always, Charlotte

Coffee talks over at @teepee.sg this frigid morning.

The braising liquids had an overly sweet and one-dimension feel while the beef remained tough and almost dry to the bite. Not my go-to dish, for sure.

Oh, how you spoil me.

Fantasies aside 😁 ~ this dish is devilishly good. Summed up with a good hand of pork broth perforating every bite accompanied with smidgens of wok-charred flavor in the generous amount of scrambled eggs incorporated. Pork lard move aside as smoked pancetta steps it up a notch on the satiety level. Too good and a definite must-order for dinner at @xiaoyatou.sg

It doesn't try to handcuff together unrelated cuisine, most of them having discernibly Chinese and local antecedents.

I would have the {Duroc Pork Lu Rou Fan} ($18) every time I'm back, braised pork belly meets a nice platform of rice, obviously shaped in a vessel and pan-seared for crisp surfaces, quail egg and shibazuke pickles complete the comfy equation.

Literally so, with these cheese filled {Jalapeño Poppers}. Gorgeously crumbed and deep fried, waiting to release a steamy explosion of savoury gooey cheese into your mouth. OOooooo, I think I just creamed myself.

A lovely play on the dish to avoid bated breathes and sweaty brows during a romantic dinner. Note that cocktails are a great affair at this stowed away joint as well. Reservations strongly recommended.

24-hour braised beef cheek meets crisp Japanese savoury pancakes with 2 perfectly poached eggs to blanket the entire combination in a landslide of yolk goodness. Be warned that this is extremely filling, so come hungry.
