My kind of chawanmushi, creamy, smooth with luxurious uni (sea urchin) garnish. The chawanmushi is well mixed with uni. When placed in the mouth, it is filled with creamy uni taste that melts, leaving a good, lingering aftertaste in my tastebud.

Definitely one of my favourite dishes for the night! The pork roulade is like a thicker version of the crispy pork belly mantou dish. Savoury sausage meat acts as a hidden surprise, found in the centre of the stuffing. I do enjoy the sweet bursting of the baby tomato soaked in Shanghaiese plum wine.

One of the mains selection, the sea perch Pakora was probably my choice as I love the firm texture of the fried fish without traces of oiliness. It was beautifully plated as well with Ebiko caviar and Jerusalem artichokes with cumin, also to balance the flavours of the fish.

In fact, it might be a good move since turning to serving these new asian dishes would definitely attract the industrial office crowd around Jurong area. .

The squids are stir-fried in a potent thick black buah keluak (black nut) gravy. The buah keluak gravy is rich and aromatic with tamarind juice, onions and red and green onions that tickle your tastebud. Not the usual buah keluaks that you can easily find in the market as they’re sourced exclusively from Indonesia. I can’t help but to scoop lots of the intense buah keluak gravy to my rice, yummy! 😋

Very soft chewy texture and dusted with lots of addictive black sesame powder and peanuts. The stall owners are very strict on “no photography” at their stall. So, don’t try your luck to insta-story. .

There are three standard sizes, small ($2.50), medium ($3.50) and large ($5.50).

We have also spotted taste of Singapore dishes like beef rendang, carrot cake etc. With daily live performances, it’s time to chill with your friends and family. What’s even better? Route 65 is having 1 for 1 dinner mains daily from 5PM to 7PM and S$10 set lunch for the working crowd.
.
Superstar beef rendang is a crowd favourite among us. The 25 hours braised short rib is served with fried rice, cracker and pickled vegetables. The rich and tender coconut beef rendang is explosively flavourful, one bite and it melts in your mouth. Can’t seem to stop at just one serving!
