Get the most bang for your buck at Y Cube Mookata Buffet, offering a vast variety of meats and seafood for just $29.90 nett on weekdays! With choices such as flower crab, crayfish, scallops and mussels, this is one of the more impressive mookata buffet spreads I've tried. I exceptionally loved how they had the famous Thai MAMA instant noodles so we could spice up our soup with tom yum seasonings and piping hot noodles. They also offer sashimi and free flow Thai iced tea to go with your meal and ice cream for a perfect ending!

Breaking free from the usual Bingsu flavours like chocolate or green tea, Nunuiwangja adds a punch to your dessert with their selection of tropical fruit Bingsus. My favourite has definitely got to be the Tangerine one with juicy sweet tangerine slices, crunchy candied orange and *yums* preserved tangerine peels!

Named after a German word for "local", LoKal is not your typical local food nor does is serve up German food. In fact, it is modelled after an Australian cafe offering favourites like fish n' chips but with their unique twist like the chilli coriander mayonnaise which was spicy and zesty altogether, really tasty!! Great food and great vibes, what more could one ask for :)

With a diverse food culture in Singapore, Mexican food is not hard to find but if you're looking for quality yet affordable Mexican food, Barrio is the place to check out! Generous portions, tender meats and perfect flavours, this place is hands-down my new favourite Mexican joint!

True to its name, like a bomb, the salted egg filling burst out from all sides the moment I pressed my knife down on the prata. The Salted Egg Prata was a tad small for its price of $6 but it well made up for its size in the taste department When tasted together with the cripsy prata that contained it, the salted egg sauce was thick and rich yet not too jelak. A definite must visit for other local offerings!

With the rising trend of eateries moving away from the usual malls and cafe districts, Citrus By The Pool is one such place tucked quietly in the heartlands by the Woodlands Swimming Complex (by the pool, literally). They serve up a good variety of western food with some asian fusion/selections at really affordable prices! Do try their desserts too!

Arteastiq is definitely a place that brings new meaning to the phrase "cooking is an art" both in terms of their beautifully presented and wonderful tasting dishes as well as their artisanal teas. Not to forget that they have art-jamming sessions available as well!

Most Bak Kut Teh places in Singapore serve up the Teochew version which is more peppery but here at Sin Heng, I can also get my preferred Hokkien version which is cooked with soy sauce and more fragrant to my liking 👍🏻

Warm sun on your face, cool sea breeze in your hair, sand in your toes, yummy food in your belly, friendly prices on your wallet.. what more can one ask for? Never thought I'd find a place like this in our own sunny island!! ☀️

When you take the first bite into the burger, your teeth first sinks slowly right through the soft fluffy bun to encounter that delightful burst of umami flavour from their secret sauce as you crunch into the applewood smoked bacon, the perfectly melted cheese and finally the star of the show, the juicy succulent beef patty accompanied with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The whole combination came together so nicely that every bite I took was dripping (quite literally too) with flavour and juice! Only pity was that the burger was a little small but it keeps me wanting more 😋

Good food is always worth traveling for and such was the case with Craftsmen Specialty Coffee. Tucked in a quiet corner of the Siglap neighbourhood, Craftsmen delivers a delightful selection of coffee and all-day breakfast in their cosy cafe.
