Had an amazing dinner at Tomidou.
Right after stepping into the restaurant the staff made sure we were well taken care of.
The ambience was very soothing and great for an intimate dining experience.

It was such a privilege to watch chef Akira create the dishes which were like pieces of art from the fresh ingredients.
For someone who previously thought I was not a fan of sashimi, this has completely changed my mind! Every single piece was so fresh and goes well with either the wasabi or the ponzu sauce.

I also really appreciate the staff introducing every single dish to us when served and was surprised to learn that the shijimi calms in the miso soup served was good for the liver.

Would highly recommend to give this restaurant a try regardless of whether you are a fan of Japanese food!

Tried this shop out on a weekday lunch. Noticed they have quite and affordable lunch set menus for weekdays that are below $20 and seems quite substantial.

For us we went for some side dishes and beer. The gimmari was pipping hot and crpisy when they bought it out with a taste of perilla oil. There was 6 pieces for $8 which we thought was more reasonable rather than the stated 4 pieces.

We had to get the oden soup as we saw reviews of it being bought to the table in a kettle. We are not sure how similar it is to the authentic korean ones but the soup was pretty good as compared to the other odens we have tried so far. Appreciated it being over a flame too so the soup and oden stays hot the whole meal.

Galbi beef is a must try here. It is well marinated and grilled nicely to have a slight charred flavour. We are not big eaters hence the portions were pretty substantial for us.

In general the prices were a little on the expensive side but the taste is pretty good!

Was initally slightly skeptial of trying this beef noodles as I recently came back from Taiwan and had some amazing beef noodles there. However, this shop did not disappoint.I got the premium braised beef noodles and it was completely worth the price tag.

The portion size is generous and instead of the usual thin slices of beef, the beef came in chunks and was super tender and flavourful. The free flow salted vegetable that came as a side goes really well with the noodles and helps to balance out the heaviness of the beef. There is even 3 ways to enjoy the beef noodles and the instructions will be provided in a little slip of paper that comes with the meal.

Was definitely a great meal and this store will be one of my top choices when I crave beef noodles next time.

Dropped by on a weekends. There was a small queue but the turnover rate is quite fast. Ordered the tasting platter of ngoh hiang. The sotong youtiao is a must try! All the ngoh hiang was freshly fried and crispy and the portion was just right so we get to try a little of everything without being too stuffed.Their claypot soup comes separated with the noodles and we got the five fortune big prawns claypot. The serving is generous and 2 person can comfortably share one claypot. The soup was thick and flavorful, super comforting on a rainy day. Prawns are huge and fresh also.
In general a great place for food and will definitely be back again for their prawn soup.
