Was brought here by a friend one night, quite inaccessible in the depth of Siglap, near Opera Estate. Honestly a little pricey for a hideaway in the East - Mackerel was $35 and steak was $26 - and also the place isn't amazing looking or fancy. But it opens till late which is great, and all in all it was a hearty meal with great flavours and generous portions. What blew me away though was the dessert - the sticky date pudding (not pictured)! Seemingly unattractive and unassuming, it was the best stick date pudding I've had in SG to date and I would go back just to eat it.
It is so so tender. The meat is ready to drop off at the touch of the fork. Please read all about it at www.hungryghost.sg
Served pipping hot, Arnold's signature Spring Chicken is really fragrant and fried to a golden brown perfection! The meat was succulent and I could detect some seasoning used on the crisp exterior making the skin really addictive.
[Cappuccino S$4.90] + [Flat White S$4.90] and most importantly it's one of the few cafes that opens till late! "If you treat people right, they will treat you right - 90% of the time"
