Found this hidden gem opposite Bishan-AMK park thanks to Burpple! A small cafe beside a bright coffeeshop, I hesitated whether to go in because it looked a bit dark. But I'm glad I did! The food really impressed me. We ordered the fish & chips and the grass-fed beef flat iron with borderlaise ($23.90) and I found both done better than most cafes. It was a very satisfying meal! The waffle that the next table ordered also smelled great and something I would try the next time. Will be back and since they are on Burpple Beyond, give them a try!

A nice, smooth cup of coffee at this new joint! I also got the Miso Butter Sweet Potato Sando ($5.50) - I must say I love their bread! It's toasted yet soft and has a nice bite to it. I'll be back to try their other sandos, and of course for another cuppa!

Go before 31 Dec to get $2 off your final bill.

Pleasantly surprised to find a local option here! It's hard to beat Yakun's kopi, but I prefer Kiliney's butter sugar toast - the butter and sugar melts so nicely into their toast, making every bite a satisfied one!

No regrets choosing this over their more popular Beef & Meatballs Mac & Cheese! Portions of salmon were generous, and I liked that the cheese was not too overpowering. Was slightly dry in my opinion, but a hearty meal overall. Will be back! Love the vibe of this place, and glad to rediscovered it through Burpple Beyond!

New Jap place in myVillage with friendly service! The don was pretty good, but also fairly standard. I might give their wagyu beef don a try the next time I'm here - a friend had it and had good reviews of it!

Unlike the usual Dory, the cod fish & chips has a more tender, creamier taste. This was good on its own without the tar tar sauce! I find cod in general can taste a bit jelat if there's too much of it, but the portion here was just right. The fries and tangy salad also brought a good balance to the creaminess of the cod. A satisfying meal!

There are three options for the lunch set: Seafood ($9.80), Meat ($9.80 - choose pork, beef or mutton) and Mushroom ($8.80). Each set comes with a veggie platter and a good amount of meat. Oh, and all soup broths already come with chicken pieces in them! We added on rice, and a mojito mocktail, which is currently on promo ($3.80).

The spicy & fragrant soup was tasty but got slightly oily after awhile. My friend really loved the original flavour (non-spicy), and I'll be trying that the next time I'm here. A really worthwhile lunch set in my opinion - certainly great for those days you feel hungry for something different but still wanna go easy on your wallet.

⬆️ the reason I keep coming back to Paradise. If you like mala, you might really like this! It's not overly numbing or salty, as some Szechuan food can be, but it certainly packs a punch of spice and flavour. The beef is also tender. Be warned the soup can get really spicy if you keep drinking it, but I'd say it's worth it :)

Found this place on Burpple for my dad's birthday, and the food and ambience certainly matched the occasion! The grass fed beef tenderloin and smoked kurobuta pork mains were so tender and flavourful, but we also liked that they had other options for the non-meat lovers. Service was also really attentive, and we really enjoyed the fresh bread and special appetisers they served us.

So glad for Burpple Beyond which introduced us to the place and helping us save on the mains so we could afford to try more appetisers :)

This is the medium size, because small ($15) is only available for lunch. Generous with the seafood, and I especially liked the raisins that came in the rice that added a nice sweetness to it. I'd suggest getting a counter seat to watch the chefs in action - makes the meal so much more fun!

Wish I could cook meatballs like these 😂 they tasted homely and it's definitely less popular than the roast pork cheek, but a tasty dish nonetheless!

From their daily specials menu, this grilled squid was the first thing that came and we couldn't stop eating it! The combination of smokiness from the grill and the lightness of the dressing made it a great starter to a wonderful meal here!
