My top few favourite would be their red curry prawns with bitter gourd and australian beef tenderloin. The red curry is really flavourful and it goes well with the bitter gourd and perfect to eat it together with the thai fragrance rice. The beef tenderloin was really tender and juicy, it kinda melts in the mouth.

Happy Lunar New Year eve everyone! I had my own pre lunar new year steamboat at M Hotel Singapore’s The Buffet using Eatigo app for 50% off. Those who have yet to download can use my referral code:eatiw0bx .

We were impressed by the freshness of the seafood (fish, prawns, octopus etc) and especially the prawns 😍. My friend couldn’t help but to get a few serving of the prawns there!
Personally, I am not a fan of desserts but I love the variety of desserts available for this buffet, and particularly their rose lychee mousse cake and the durian puree. 📍 M Hotel (The Buffet)

Sea Salt Gula Melaka soft serve from Sunday Folks on one of the sunday evening when we were chilling and enjoying the softserve.

It is definitely a good choice for Gula Melaka lover and reminds me of the song “甜蜜蜜” 😜.

I have also enjoyed the Unagi Hitsumabushi and had fun eating the meal with the three different ways.

Firstly, divide the bowl into four portion.

First bowl: eel & rice only.
Second bowl: eel& rice w/ spring onions, wasabi & fresh sansho
Third bowl: Same as previous w/ clear soup (ochazuke style)
Fourth bowl: Choose your favourite style.

Apart from the taste, the presentation of the food is execellent! We were also warmly welcomed by their friendly staff to dine in the comfortable and cozy restaurant.

To kick start the week, enjoy some crab & ikura from Platypus Kitchen to help to cheer up your Monday. Have a good week ahead everyone! 📍 Platypus Kitchen

Another dish which I personally enjoyed would be their golden mushrooms ($8). It comprises of 5 different types of mushrooms namely enoki, shiitake, shimeiji, abalone and king oyster. I am an avid mushroom lover, and fried mushrooms are definitely a side dish which I will look for whenever I visit any Taiwanese eatery. I like that we can simply enjoy the juicy mushrooms without having to dip it in any sauce.

Today I will be sharing with you guys some of my favourite Taiwanese golden delights (小吃)from @ludingji.sg .One of my favourites would be their LDJ Crispy Chawanmushi ($8). This is a dish specially innovated by Chef Kayne and there is actually a story behind the origin of this special dish. The crispy chawanmushi is definitely a delight that every chawanmushi lovers must try. I like how the crispy chawanmushi has a crispy outer layer, and yet still remain soft and savory in its inner layers.

Mahota Tampines has never failed to surprise me with their desserts. Introducing their Yam & Pumpkin Pie top with Meringue and Mixed Berry Yogurt Ice cream ($8++), personally intially I am worried that it will be kinda jelat with the yam and pumpkin pie combination, however I find that the taste is light and not too sweet. It goes perfectly well with the mixed berry yogurt ice cream and it is always nice to end off the meal with some berries.
As a fellow eastie, i will be back in the future to try the other desserts from their menu. 📍 Mahota Tampines (Century Square)

Too much of feasting recently, looking for something light and refreshing, time to visit Mahota Tampines to try their Roasted Rosemary Grass Fed Beef Salad ($15++). The salad goes well with the bell pepper, avocado, caramelized onion, roasted beetroot, fried lotus root, apricot, cumin organic quinoa corn and not forgetting the wasbi mayo sauce as dressing. Something healthy and light to go for if you are planning to go for a low carb meal yet enjoying the tender beef slices at the same time.
Mahota Tampines has a really pretty and relaxing ambience for the customers to have a good catch up with friends/ family members. It is certainly somewhere that I will recommend my friend to visit if they happened to be at Century Square. 📍 Mahota Tampines

I was really excited when Ludingji contacted & invited me to visit their outlet to try their mouthwatering Taiwanese dishes. Personally, Taiwan is my long-standing favourite travel destination and I have always been a huge fan of Taiwanese cuisine. I will be sharing with you guys a few of my favourite mains from Ludingji:
🍽 Braised Chicken Rice Bowl ($8.50)
🍽 Pork Rice Bowl ($9.50)
🍽 Wagyu Noodle Bowl ($18.50)

My personal favourite would be their Braised Chicken Rice Bowl. The tender Boneless Chicken Thigh was braised with Ludingji’s special sauce for many hours overnight. The chicken thigh meat was really succulent and moist. The braised lava egg is another item that has impressed me. After multiple attempts and practice, Chef Kayne has finally managed to perfect his braised lava egg, which goes really well with the rice bowl.

Apart from the presentation and taste of the food, what matters a lot as well is the customer service. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was filled with homely vibes. Do visit 卤鼎记 for their 香味可口的卤味.

Thank you @ludingji.sg for the invite and warm hosting! 📍 Ludingji
